Dec 31, 2023   2024

There are many ways that an astrologer would probe into the future to assess what might occur. One approach would rely on the positions of the outer planets, the ones with the longest orbital time that contribute to cycles of expression. Another would be to study horoscopes for individual countries or for the start of the year in a particular place, such as midnight on New Year’s Eve at the White House. Or, one can do the same for where one was born or where one lives to see what is perhaps more personal. When considering a nation, the person holding the highest office is represented by the Sun. This could be an elected official, regent, or even a tyrant with excessive power and authority. If one does a chart for midnight when the New Year is rung in, the Sun will always be at the very bottom of the chart . . . which perhaps speaks to something in each of us?

Mercury does go direct on New Year’s Day. This will unlock some stalled initiatives.

My general feeling about 2024 is that the principles of human responsibilities towards one another will ground decisively, obviously not all in one day, but momentum is building up. This always begins with social movements that, in turn, depend on insight, leadership, and eventually significant response. One can suggest that this might precipitate with one raindrop touching one forehead; but by February, there is for sure an echo that begins to encircle the Planet, and this becomes more and more decisive by March and April. We can expect many changes by Spring 2024 but the momentum will become more and more clear.

My sense is that the trigger is humanitarian, not governmental. As people start to realize what the motivation is behind certain events, they will unite in fellowship. To succeed, I personally feel we can accelerate the process by taking responsibility for our own thoughts and how we express those thoughts.

Though this might not be a fashionable suggestion, I believe that acceleration of the creation of Heaven on Earth depends in part on frequency which, in turn, depends on refinement and harmony. Whenever we are upset, emotionally off balance, or tempted to act out, we can take a second to ask whether we have the inner resolve to handle the issues in a mature and mutually respectful manner. If we cannot master ourselves, how can we expect a favorable response when we try to master others?

The other major issue for 2024 is Truth. The goal of the Age of Aquarius entails both egalitarianism and honesty. Both have been subverted due to the desire to control and dominate . . . and many are awakening to bits and pieces of hidden history and subversive activities.

I vividly remember when I first realized that some things that I had been taught in school clearly did not make sense. That was more than 30 years ago and so much more has surfaced since. The realizations came in a strange way, but keep in mind that I had driven from England to India in 1968 (and roundtrip in 1970) so I more or less knew the route to Asia. I had spent a little time in Greece and then in Istanbul because it is absolutely fascinating. I had also been to historic places in Iran like Persepolis, Shiraz, and Isfahan . . . and had seen the paintings of Jesus in lotus position in Afghanistan . . . but it was when analyzing the formulas of Hildegard of Bingen that the synapses really fired. Her favorite herb was galangal. It grows mostly in Southeast Asia . . . and she was using it extensively a century before the journeys of Marco Polo. When visiting the Abbey in Bingen. I asked the abbess about galangal. She brought me to the kitchen to show me the herb. It was definitely galangal, and she said the Abbey owns six galangal plantations in Thailand.

One question led to another. The abbess also told me that Hildegard had corresponded extensively with the Cathars. I asked if Hildegard believed in reincarnation. She said she did not know . . . but I am sure this will be discovered as they dig up the crockery buried in the garden.

We were told in school that the Pilgrims were in search of religious freedom, but this was framed against the Protestant Revolution without any mention of the Inquisition. I will soften the path for those who want only the Truth by posting a recent video by Mark Levin from the Grand Canyon. In actuality, there is nothing new (for me) in this video . . . except that it has gone viral which presages changes in our understanding of what has been hidden.

There are so many missing pieces of the puzzle, but these places have appeared in the press from time-to-time and are obviously not sufficiently researched or explained. For the next few months, I plan to post videos that I believe explain missing chapters of our “recorded history” as well as interpretations of events that clearly demand more scrutiny.

In recent weeks/months, the long lost Ark was found by Chinese archaeologists on Mt. Ararat. Very careful excavation will be required to unlock whatever secrets are to be found. Also, the tomb of Gilgamesh has been found, all supporting the idea that civilization is considerably older than our historical dating suggests. Moreover, there is still absolutely no evidence that humans evolved from apes. Evidence of the existence of Elohim seems to be confirmed; but, to the best of my knowledge, no winged angels have been excavated, but since I have seen them from time-to-time, I have no doubt about their existence, but perhaps they are truly immortal?

Though it is trite to repeat the adage that the “truth shall set us free,” we base our decisions on what we believe. Therefore correcting misunderstandings, filling in blanks, and perhaps rewriting some textbooks all seems to be on the calendar for our near future.

I enjoy the journey and am happy to have companions along the way. If you like my work, please share it . . . and perhaps consider becoming a patron.

Blessings for the New Year!

Dec 31, 2023   Welcoming 2024!

My usual New Year’s Eve posts have typically presented brief videos from the countries that have been in the news during the outgoing year. How exactly Vienna became so famous for its celebrations is probably a task for historians, but finding a perfect waltz and polka has sometimes been a challenge; and this year, I compromised. Another exception is that rather than putting the emphasis on the places that have made history, it is the compassion of countries admitting refugees from war zones that I wish to celebrate, starting with Poland. It has taken in around half of the fleeing Ukrainians. Since we have yet to see a safe haven for Gazans, I will start by paying homage to Poland and hope that there will be a sequel soon for residents of the Holy Land.

Poland is famous for being the birthplace of Copernicus and Chopin. Since my New Year’s Eve posts are always musical, we can save the talk about Copernicus for when exploring the astrology for 2024. Meanwhile, I should probably share the fact that I have karmic ties with Poland going back centuries, if not longer.

Here is a little synopsis and some beautiful Chopin passages filmed at his place of birth.

. . . and now my confession. This next chap would have been my ideal dance partner when I was young. I grew up with folk dancing and can remember ribbons and red boots from at least age four. My father was, at one time, president of the California Folk Dance Federation, and I appeared on television a few times during my high school years. This story goes on for decades and should probably be shared at some point. One incident took place in Switzerland when my German publisher tried to stop the dancing saying that as a fire type, my survival instinct was weak and I needed to slow down . . . no way!

Wishing every living being on this Planet a safe and fulfilling New Year. May everyone seek peaceful resolutions of their issues, may every living plant, animal, and person enjoy safety and respect, and may we all seek to give wider expression to our soul purposes.

Dec 30    2023: The Swan Song

As we wrap up the last hours of 2023, the phrase “annus horribilis” — made famous in 1992 by the late Queen Elizabeth — echoes in my mind. The context for her moaning and groaning was royal scandals . . . but the horribleness is actually more pervasive and pitiful now, and it involves the abuse of power and privilege at the highest levels of plutocracy. I chose that word carefully because I associate the power behind the curtain with with Pluto . . . which is currently transiting the last degree of Capricorn. My visions from 1972 suggested that the collapse of the current system would occur at the end of this journey through Capricorn.

For a lay person to understand the ramifications of this transit, we should see Capricorn as acting on delegated authority. Even people in very high positions, such as heads of state and elected officials, are beholden to the puppet masters who are usually hidden from view. As my primary astrology teacher said about Pluto, he wears a magic helmet that renders him invisible. If one lusts for power, it is very likely that one will kowtow in order to enjoy the perks of “success”; but without a moral compass, it may be difficult to discern the fine line between flowing with the crowd and using one’s incarnate existence in a manner that benefits all life on Earth. This, I believe, is the critical issue so unless we pick up the gauntlet, the price we pay may be more than anyone can afford.

We all see through our own windows, quite literally . . . meaning Microsoft et al are using such heavy filtering that many people today have difficulty separating what they know from what they have been told. This is almost ubiquitous and tends to take the form of tiresome regurgitation of points of view that are “mainstream” but utterly divorced from truth and reality.

Machiavelli wrote of the Prince, “Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.” This was elaborated so that the Prince should take the measures necessary to be popular among the people, meaning that regardless of the truth and agenda, the packaging of the power should be such that it appeals to the “people” . . . meaning you and me . . . and several billion others. This implies that anyone observing the modus operandi of power should be circumspect, suspicious, and cynical, all traits associated with Capricorn. I am not for a moment denigrating Capricorn since to rise to a high position, one must generally be competent, cautious, and meticulous about serving the master. However, as the Sage in the I Ching advises, one must wait for the opportune time before taking action. It is not therefore a mistake to sit at a desk or stand at a lectern for thirty years before finally taking the actions that will correct the injustices and errors rampant in our society.

My sense is that these possibilities, meaning the expiration of the free ticket, is making a lot of people nervous because patience is running out, but in wrapping up 2023, there are some comments and observations I want to make before rubbing my crystal ball and ushering in 2024.

2023: Annus Horribilis
Why has this year been terrible in many ways? If one were to take the most generic adjective to describe the fast fading year, it might be “lawlessness”. Whether we are talking about undocumented immigration, theft, bank failures and seizures, abuse of directed energy weapons, train wrecks, broken dams, or war and genocide, the lack of boundaries is evident. When a particular talking head used his anchorman position to justify a heinous deed, he defended his position by reference to power . . . “because we can”; but the issue is not what we can do but what we should do. If this is not clear, then we should simply see who is offering to broker peace in the Middle East: Putin and Erdogan. If this is not farcical, what is?

It is about “what we can” but what I see is seizure of assets. Whether we are talking about illegal entry into a foreign country so as to better one’s life style or so much theft that malls have to close or the run on Silicon Valley Bank or real estate grabs in Maui or Gaza, the bottom line is self-interest above public interest.

What are the lengths to which people will go to satisfy their desires? It seems that there are no rules so the alleged law makers have become toothless tigers.

The Magic Helmet
Some weeks ago, I mentioned the ennui of political campaigning, but we really have to dig deep to interpret what the agenda might be. Clearly, there is going to be some kind of financial “fix”, but is what is being presented as a reset or solution a Trojan Horse or an equitable revamping of a broken system? Because we live in a digital world in which actual currency is becoming obsolete, we are being primed to accept a system that is incredibly efficient but invasive. Ultimately, the merits of the system depend on the motivation of those programming the quantum computers that will keep track of every penny we spend. What could possibly go wrong in such a modern and impersonal system? Doesn’t it depend on whose finger is on the switch?

We are already primed to accept that there are no humans to respond to questions. The robots that apologize for their lack of training . . . are being trained. They are trained to serve their masters and to follow orders explicitly.

In the high tech world of the future, robots will do the dirty work and humans, people who have also been programmed but whose facts are assembled through Windows, will have endless leisure . . . for what? We are being told that we can explore our creativity, but this has been blunted by centuries of propagandistic programing, exotic chemical and medical procedures, and pandering to the proclivities of our selfish interests versus our social responsibilities.

Everyone has been saying it in one way or another. We have to wake up. If we manage to do this, we can create a paradise . . . if we go with the agenda, I hate to think of what will happen . . . but I will take a stab at this in my 2024 post . . . coming soon.

Meanwhile, here is a beautiful interpretation of a famous swan song!

Dec 29, 2023   Samson and Delilah

While searching for music for Christmas and the New Year, I stumbled on a Spanish site that proclaimed that Aigul Akhmetshina has the greatest voice in the world. Well, she has a wonderful voice, no doubt about it, but you can listen and decide for yourself. She is Russian, as is the absolutely excellent conductor Vladimir Spivakov.

. . . and such a sweet encore!

There is more I want to share about my visits (three of them) to Afghanistan and then I would like to discuss the events of 2023 and what I see for 2024.

Somewhat after the camels pulled Rimmerfjord out of the mud, I was shown a place where Jesus was depicted sitting in lotus posture. I know this is controversial for some, but there are three missing years in the recorded life history . . . and some additional possibilities that most people would find hard to accept.

As we know, once the war started, a lot of treasures were bombed. I don’t know what survived this savagery, but I feel blessed to have rich memories of the paintings shown to me.

Dec 23, 2023    The Birth of Hope

After Vietnam, much of the summer of 1968 was spent at home in Hawaii where my grandfather was visiting from Sweden. He had the honor of naming the Land Rover that I proposed to drive from the factory in England to my next post which was India. To care for Rimmerfjord, I took a crash course at the factory on how to repair a Land Rover; but the training was on a diesel vehicle. Shortly after crossing the English Channel, the engine died while traveling at about 35 mph. I popped the hood and was horrified to find an electrical wire going through the crankcase and out the other side. Some French fellows on the ferry had been flirting, and when they no longer saw Rimmerfjord in their rearview mirror, they turned around and came back . . . with quite a few words for British engineering. The electrical problems plagued me for years, but I also met a lot of friendly people whenever the car broke down. The moral of the story is never buy a Land Rover that has less that 25,000 miles on the odometer because if the car has survived that long, the owners have solved the problems that should have been addressed at the factory.

By December, I reached Afghanistan and saw my very first hippies. They told me about a road over the north that would lead to Kabul. A few days later, I saw a green Chevy coming from the north so I thought the road existed. Obviously, I wouldn’t be telling the story that follows if the road had actually existed. On one occasion, I got stuck in the mud around sunset. Several Afghani men tried to push the car, but it would not budge. They left and came back with about 50 men and two camels. I wish there had been daylight because someone would have paid handsomely to see camels pulling a Land Rover with a full moon in the background.

It turned out the men were fascinated by my blue eyes and with all kinds of hand signals, they tried to figure out where I was from. Then, an old man with blue eyes appeared. He was completely convinced we were related. My Viking ancestors did travel a lot. After enjoying the all-male Afghan hospitality, I went back to the car to sleep, leaving my muddy boots on the hood. In the morning, the boots were perfectly clean as was the Land Rover, and they accomplished all this without waking me.

Meanwhile some government officials invited me to their office. In very feeble French, they tried to explain that they had had a complaint from the Soviet Union that I had crossed the border. I explained that the roads were very bad and asked about the condition of the roads ahead. The answer was that the roads from Herat to wherever the heck I was were “tres, tres, tres mauvais” and the road ahead was only “tres mauvais”. This sounded incredibly promising. They accompanied me on horseback for several miles to make sure I stayed on the right side of the border.

Then, in the absolute middle of nowhere, the engine again stopped. Horsemen passed from time-to-time and gawked at me, rubbing their eyes as if they were seeing a ghost or mirage. Then, someone with a rifle over his shoulder stopped and began speaking very good Japanese. I asked him what he was speaking Japanese to me. He said it was because it is the only foreign language he knows. He asked if anything was wrong with the car. I said, “I’ll gladly trade it for your horse.” Curious, he asked again about the car. I asked if he knew anything about cars. He said he saw a jeep once during World War II. I said, “A Japanese jeep?” My thinking was if he learned such good Japanese, maybe he actually also knows something about jeeps. I told him the problem was with the brakes. It was obviously not the case at all, but I wanted to see what he would do. He assured me the brakes were fine. So, I said, “Well, actually, it’s the ignition coil.” He said to wait. What else could I do? Rimmerfjord was not going anywhere. Three days later, the man reappeared with a brand new ignition coil, of course, made in Japan. He installed it perfectly, and I deeply regret not prying into what kind of angelic being manifests out of nowhere and then comes back with an ignition coil when I had only seen people on horseback for weeks, no cars since the green Chevy.

Afghanistan was fascinating. I loved it there and took hundreds of pictures. Shortly before Christmas, I got to Kabul and was given luxurious accommodations by the State Department . . . well, after a rugged journey, hot running water and a comfortable bed with clean sheets was something very special. More magic happened as I met some Swedish missionaries heading for India. They asked for a lift, and I immediately agreed. They invited me to join them for a Christmas Eve ceremony at a Swedish Church. Children had been dressed as angels and they looked like they were in the sky because whatever was supporting them could not be seen in the dark. Then, came the three Wise Men on real camels and they placed their presents by the crib. No one uttered a word for 23 minutes. There was no applause. Everyone left in silence, deeply moved by the glorious music in the snowy outdoors. It was the most memorable Christmas of my life . . . and in a Moslem country!

This Christmas, Mercury is retrograde. I wrote a few days ago that I had made my choice, but actually it was a a toss up so I decided to post two videos. South African Pretty Yende has an infectious smile and angelic voice. I probably have a list of 8-10 arias that I have wanted to share with you . . . despite realizing that many subscribers do not click on the music links. However, ‘tis the season and this particular famous piece speaks to everyone in Christendom.

Next, please also enjoy this beautiful carol sung by Kathleen Battle! Her high notes are absolutely out of this world.

May your season be peaceful, joyful, and reverent.

With my blessings,

Dec 20, 2023    Gorgeous Music for the Solstice

Recuerdos de la Alhambra was composed for guitar after a visit to Granada where, in the 13th century, a team of Moslems, Christians, and Jews built a complex with predominantly Islamic architectural design. It is sometimes used as a call to peace, a petition for people of all ethnicities and persuasions to live in harmony with one another.

The piece is very difficult to play, even on the guitar because of the tremelo technique. The harp is quite a bit more than a 49-string guitar, and this particular harp, the Apollonia built by Salvi in Italy, the harpist, the arrangement for harp, and the performance are lovely. . . oh, and did I mention the lighting and acoustics?

Dec 18, 2023    Guilds

As most of you realize, a group of us are aiming to manifest a tremendous vision for the future of life on Earth. Part of this plan is develop a modern form of the ancient guild system, one that we could say begins with an application. If accepted, the newly admitted member begins as an apprentice. He or she learns the basics of the craft and upon reaching a major milestone goes from apprentice to journeyman. Some become masters and the teachers and initiators of others. In theory, we could argue that guilds were an ancient form of vocational training, something that is rarely handled very well in our modern society which, alas, is often based on the assembly line idea in which one’s expertise is limited to a very small part of the entire production process.

It has sometimes been argued that, in times past, we inherited not just the genes from our ancestors but their talents as well. In a way, this makes a lot of sense and appeals to the love of tradition that all of us share to some extent. In some disciplines, such as alchemy and shamanism, the transfer of knowledge was very strictly regulated; and there were many rungs of the ladder to climb before reaching the pinnacle of being able to apply what has been taught in a practical manner. There are numerous medical traditions that are protected within families in nearly the same manner as a ruler protects his throne. Similarly, there is esoteric wisdom that is only imparted after the aspirant has conquered himself and proved worthy of the blessing of higher understanding.

We could suggest that the concept of admission, training, supervision, scaling the ladder, and graduating is not unique to manual disciplines since very similar structures can also be seen in monastic training where one might begin as a novice and very gradually become qualified for more and more training.

As a child, I balked at the educational system. I really thought it was awful. As you know, my Moon is in Sagittarius in the ninth house so you could say I have an instinctual understanding of who is qualified to teach and, sorry to say, a habit of being very quick to ignore those who purport to be experts when clearly they are not.

In Hawaii, where I lived for 20 years, the kahuna tradition actually works very much like a guild. It is deeply tied to tradition, but in saying this, I know of very few who would argue that tradition stands in the way of progress. A strong tradition can assimilate information and utilize technology from the modern world, but there is still an emphasis on mentoring by a senior individual who has mastered the curriculum.

Put another way, when we are young, at least in the U.S., we generally have one teacher for all subjects when in elementary school. Later, we usually have a different teacher every semester or every year. This person can hardly be seen as a master, at least not in my experience. Later, we have specific classes, each taught by a different person, again often someone with limited experience.

Think for a moment about musical education. Would you rather learn from an accomplished composer and performer or from a book about notes and harmonies and rhythms? A very gifted child would crave tutoring by someone he or she admires and perhaps wants to emulate.

Guilds can and perhaps should be very flexible. Some are built around specific crafts. I lived in Ecuador for a short time. Each village tended to have experts in certain areas. For instance, Otavalo is famous for arts and crafts, Ibarra for working with wood, everything from furniture to statues, Cotacachi for anything made of leather: belts, boots, apparel, toys. Some places produced coffee or cacao, and one village was famous for shamanism.

As the gringos came in droves, new enterprises arose, like essential oil distillation, and various activities that appeal to tourists such as trips to the Galapagos Islands or Amazon forests. Each new activity requires trained staff. Before this is possible, people are often brought over to teach hotel and restaurant management or locals go abroad and hopefully return with skills they are eager to share.

A guild can be built around any activity. For instance, in the craft area, there are two projects very dear to my heart. One is the use of biodegradable water boxes made of agave to reverse desertification. Another is medicated chewing gum. Both of these require some understanding of tradition, such as which plants will grow where and what they need as companion plants and protection from foragers and harsh weather. For the chewing gum, we need trees and a knowledge of how to harvest the latex and what herbs to use for each disease. So, there must be training, by masters. These are, for me, ideas, but if I am a master of anything, it is definitely not in manufacturing boxes made of agave leaves . . . and I have never climbed a tree to harvest any exudate from a tree . . . moreover, at my age, I am not aspiring to add this to my curriculum vitae, but the Academy will engage the services of the masters so that people can apprentice.

I have studied many subjects in my life so if I were to say what is entirely original with me, not copied or taught to me by others, it would be darkfield microscopy and music therapy. Obviously, my system of medical astrology is also unique, but it is built on a traditions, several different traditions, some that go back thousands of years. Only my way of putting the pieces together and explaining the system is unique, but I think this makes me a master in this field as well.

It therefore goes without saying that there is a sort of point of convergence where traditional and modern meet. I cannot, for instance, imagine a Kogi elder sending his son to a modern university for an education. I can imagine begging a Kogi elder to share his wisdom in our Academy so it spreads throughout the world. If we want sustainable agriculture, nutrient dense food, phytomedicines with real vitality, we must make sure the knowledge spreads far and wide.

No matter what the skill is that one hopes to master, it will take training and practice. Yes, we can watch videos on how to make your own bread, but are you then a baker? Can you also make scones? pastries? pasta? When are you a real master of the kitchen? Do you know which foods are good for which people? How much to serve? Where to source the ingredients? How to grow what you need for your production? This is the difference between a short order cook and someone who has studied in a guild. Obviously some professions may be easier to master and take less training, but it is one thing to change a tire and another to rebuild a motor. Similarly, anyone can make an ointment in the kitchen, but can that person take a medical history and run a clinic?

Personally, I feel guilds are potentially more interesting than schools because one is generally, hopefully, in a guild that is focused on something one loves, not on how to scan barcodes day in and day out. Wait for the announcements in 2024! Meanwhile, enjoy the holidays and time together with those you love.

Dec 17,  2023   Check Everything Twice

Over the last 50+ years, I have probably posted dozens of times about what to expect when Mercury is retrograde, but I have not posted on Substack. Depending where you live, the exact time that Mercury appeared to retrograde would differ, but it was right on the eve of the start of Lucia Day for me. It was in the 9th degree of Capricorn and will appear to be going back to 22 Sagittarius until it makes its station and then turns direct on the first day of 2024. The short interpretation is that there are a lot of loose ends to tidy up before the new year!

If we are a little sassier, we would say that many people will be exchanging their Christmas gifts . . . and some shipments may have been put on the wrong doorstep! Some people, perhaps including me, have a love-hate relationship with Mercury retrograde. One is often more tired than usual when Mercury appears to be changing directions, but then one fixes what is broken, let’s say everything from web links to relationships.

In general, the early part of the retrograde period is not a good time for making important decisions, but if the decisions involve many details, contracts and commitments, or expenditures, it is a time to go over the particulars, again and again, but not a good time to sign anything. If forced to sign, make sure there are contingencies that have to be addressed in order for the agreements to be binding. Towards the end of the transit, let’s say between Christmas and the New Year, one can reconsider the initiatives, review any related documents, and sign or wait until 2 January 2024 . . . which is probably wise!

Meanwhile, we have a very important solstice coming up and Christmas before 2024 begins. This year, I personally feel the solstice is more pivotal than ever. I’m on Pacific Time so the time of the solstice is 7:30 pm on the 21st of December, later to the East, earlier to the West. Traditionally, this is the darkest day of the year — in the Northern Hemisphere — and it is when the Sun almost disappears if one is far enough north. Since 99% of my DNA comes from far north (and even the other 1% is allegedly from Lake Baikal), I am perhaps more sensitive than most to the hope that is gestating in the “tomb”. Finally, the Sun appears to increase in light so we celebrate the victory of good over evil, and I think there will be much to celebrate in the days ahead.

The world is in deep trouble, but solutions are being sought, and I see huge changes occurring between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, especially in the realm of social and financial change.

Meanwhile, what should we do? Speaking for myself, I need this retrograde period because we managed to slide under the wire and move 45 websites to new hosting before Mercury went retrograde . . . but there are fixes to make so if you spot them, please let me know.

However, this is minor compared to the global arena and its issues. The system, as I predicted back in 1972, is broken. I knew then that it would become crystal clear and reach a point of no return now . . . and have been waiting a long time. Our thoughtforms are very powerful so we should be as constructive as possible in our thinking. A game I like to play is to imagine the ideal. Just how would that be? It is how we would be if we function as souls rather than egos and this is the real gateway to higher dimensions. When we are aligned with this part of our true selves, we are manifesting fourth dimensional reality in a third dimensional world. There is no conflict or confusion in the fourth dimension, just perfection of the part of us that is most worthy of calling itself human.

We celebrate and we share the joy with everyone regardless of what sometimes separates people from each other. Then, we make resolutions for the new year and these should be undertaken very seriously since I believe 2024 will be a year like no other.

Today is the eleven month milestone of the launch on Substack. This is post #132 and there will be some traditional posts throughout the holidays. I usually pick a Christmas carol and have made that choice already. For New Year’s, we look back on the outgoing year, usually at the areas of the world that have suffered the most. Sometimes, there are many countries or regions . . . so this is what we can expect, a longer rather than shorter list. Then, we look forward and usually I take a few significant astrological configurations and make some predictions.

A little preview of what is planned from this end is that we will be launching a video site on Rumble, probably also on YouTube . . . this in January. The academy will reopen in March. Your interest and support are greatly appreciated. Some of you have been subscribers for 20 or more years, and a few go back half a century. I am very grateful for your interest and will continue as long as there is still sand in my hourglass. In the meantime, I wish each of you a safe, peaceful, and gentle holiday season. Share your love, your wisdom, and your dedication to creating a world in which the needs of every species and every individual within every species experiences the care and appreciation needed and warranted.

With my blessings for this sacred season!

Dec 9, 2023  Glögg

Going back in time, I opened a clinic in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in early 1990, but left almost immediately for a three-week lecture tour in Australia. You can read the comment on David Helfgott that I left on the Thieving Magpie post. That was a very interesting and busy year. I was away 42 weekends and sometimes the whole week between the weekends. However, as Christmas approached, I stayed home and hosted a party on Lucia Day at the clinic. This is the first day of the holiday season for Swedes, and it is especially important for the eldest daughter in every family.

My mother probably did not take Christianity very seriously. In her mind, festivals of light were traditional ways of celebrating the defeat of darkness by the light. Really, therefore, our calendars are a mess . . . and there is rumor that Donald Trump wants to initiate calendar reform.

As the days get shorter and shorter and finally almost disappear, there is a quiet that I feel is unique to the Northern latitudes. I loved this time of year in Sweden . . . and, no, it is not really dark. When I was ten, my grandfather gave me skis for Christmas. My uncle, cousin, and I skied for at least ten days between Christmas and New Year’s. It is snowing now as I write this: big heavy flakes and everything is becoming whiter and whiter.

At the solstice, the Sun enters a cave and then emerges after three days in the tomb. Obviously, this is the astronomical reason we celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th; but, in Sweden, Christmas Eve is more important than Christmas Day.

As an astrologer, I would propose that Jesus was born in summer because the Wise Men were following the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Pisces. Due to retrogradation, this occurred three times, one of which included Mars. Anyway, no one is going to change the date on which we celebrate the birth of Christ just because of something I write.

Back to Lucia . . . there is an official story and my mother’s version of it. I have had to rewrite a lot of scripts from my childhood. The holiday season begins on Lucia Day, always December 13th. The eldest daughter dresses in white gown with a red sash and wears a crown of candles on her head. She brings cookies and pastries to her parents, breakfast in bed, and then to the neighbors. It is celebrated everywhere in Sweden and opens with hospitality and great expectations for the triumph of good over evil.

This post is not about Lucia, celebrations, winter snow, or even good over evil, it is about an important lesson I learned that has been of inestimable value for decades.

During the holidays, Swedes traditionally serve a hot spicy punch called, glögg. I made some for a party, and it was a great success. Come February, it was time for another party and no one in the clinic remembered where the crock pot was. When we found it, we drew straws to see who would remove the lid since obviously, all of us forgot to wash it two months earlier. Lo and behold, the contents were perfect. There was not a trace of mold and the aroma was still lovely.

There is no one recipe for glögg. One can make a kiddy glögg, a glögg for abstainers, a more traditional “Viking” glögg, or just about anything you can imagine. Let’s start, however with some basics. Get an orange (or other citrus fruit) and stick it full of whole cloves.

Next, you will need some cinnamon sticks. Star anise and cardamom as well as nutmeg can also be added. You have many choices for the liquid. I usually make mine with various berry juices: grapes, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, elderberries, cranberries and plum juice. Some people also use apple juice or a mixture of many kinds of juice. Some use only wine, red wines! Some use exotic wines like pomegranate, one of my favorites. Those who like to make the wine more medicinal can add rose hips, hibiscus flowers, schisandra and/or goji berries, and various herbs like astragalus or dandelions or even wormwood. We usually added raisins and a few almonds to our glögg. One winter, someone threw the raisins onto the snow and ravens ate them. They could not fly afterwards because they were so tipsy.

In Sweden, glögg is usually made with akvavit. Maybe those with Viking DNA can handle this, but I found most others become quickly flushed and dizzy! A word to the wise! If one does want a higher alcohol content, then the akavit (or vodka) can be added right before serving since the heat will cause most of the alcohol to evaporate, meaning that holding one’s head over the pot is not advisable.

Crock pots are idea vessels but one can use anything where the temperature can be kept fairly low.

Skål
Glögg is served warm. When I was growing up, we had special glasses we only used for glögg. They were quite small and had paintings of reindeer and elves and Christmas trees. They probably only held a maximum of three ounces, and this is enough to stay quite warm in winter.

The “point” of this post was not really to share stories or recipes but to draw attention to the fact that a fruity beverage with spices was not refrigerated during the two months it was hiding, but absolutely no sign of mold appeared. This was the basis of my diffuser blend for inhibiting the growth of mold . . . and now you know how events that are separated in time eventually leave little dots that generate synaptic responses, sudden memory recalls, and logic!

We will be uploading another mold trailer very soon. Not to take the wind out of my own sails, but it is about stress and stamina. I have finished my end and the video and the producer is rolling as we speak.

Rossini had a delightful style and way with children. He would surely have been happy with this performance.

Just enjoy! No comments from me are necessary.

The pianist is Lucas Chiche, clearly a child prodigy. He was born in 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Nov 28, 2023   Star Dust

The last post on Questioning the Narrative was intended to set the stage for an avalanche of iconoclasm. Just as the history we were taught left out thousands of important details, not to mention that it is generally written by the victors of the spoils of conquest, the curriculum on astronomy leaves much to be desired. I have spent almost a decade in a rabbit hole trying to sort out what to believe about the Universe. Besides the dependence of astrology on astronomical observations, there are countless theories about astrobiology as well as indigenous origin stories. This Navajo film is very simple, but a few details took me by surprise.

Ceanne DeRohan said in one of her many books that when we have all the origin myths and histories from all the ethnic groups on Earth, we will finally know the true history of our Planet. I am citing from memory so I apologize for any liberties taken with the reference to her work.

In the West, it is clear that we have lost touch with our roots, but finding them can be very rewarding.

Nov 22, 2023    Questionning the Narrative

On the day before the U.S. Thanksgiving, it feels timely to “question the narrative.” What was and continues to be the case for immigrants often works at the expense of earlier inhabitants . . . so politically incorrect as it may be, asking what should be — instead of what is — seems appropriate and timely.

As many of you realize, my Moon is in Sagittarius in the ninth house . . . and I have always loved everything foreign . . . “everything” from travel to languages, ethnic music to anthropology, and comparative religion to wisdom.

In grade school, we were taught factoids about Columbus “discovering” the “New World”; but, unless I was asleep at the time, “religious freedom” made no mention of the Inquisition much less the greed and genocide that followed freedom for some people at the expense of others. Lest this seems like a rehash of the obvious, we can easily see the relevance when looking at the world on Thanksgiving Day 2023.

What has been going on in Ukraine and more recently Gaza? Is this not history repeating itself? Is there any justification at all for the violence and crimes? Are we never going to be civilized enough to live with our brothers and sisters of all faiths and ethnicities?

While volumes could be written about wars, fanaticism, civilization, and perhaps the implications for the future of life on Earth, it is holiday season and people are spending time with their families and loved ones. It has been a while since I posted anything on music so I would like to share two short excerpts, yes, indulging my own love of opera, but also speaking to the block of history that has spanned the last half millennium or so of our history.

First, we have a scene from Don Carlo, a truly magnificent opera by my favorite composer. This, of course, speaks to the Inquisition and the sway over true principles of the faith. The opera has ennobling passages as well.

Next, I would like to share an aria by the Egyptian sopranao Fatma Said. She has appeared only recently on my radar, and she is very talented, versatile, and beloved by people of her culture.

When the media chooses to host fanatics, it is easy to forget that Western civilization would be almost devoid of merit were it not for the influences of scholars from the Middle East: architecture, astronomy, poetry, medicine, and music . . . to name a few.

Wishing all of you a peaceful and safe day of thanks . . . and hoping the entire world will commit to win-win solutions for all the issues we face today.

Nov 14, 2023    The Mirage of Victory

There are quite a few astrologers subscribed to this Substack column, but since not everyone pays attention to the frequencies affecting us, it feels timely to mention that the intensity many are experiencing is easily correlated to the Sun/Mars conjunction that opposes transiting Uranus. This is volatile and has the kind of incendiary attributes that tend to force matters to a head. Of course, we feel this in our personal lives, but we can also see it on the big screen as explosives in war zones or volcanoes erupting. Privately, we may see the microcosm of the macrocosm at the dinner table or in the bedroom or boardroom. For me, much of the tension involves IT issues, a few of which hit critical mass yesterday and were resolved around 2:00 am after a server crash affecting around 25 of my websites. However, one link that was in development is now live. It concerns my legacy.

In between tech tickets, I caught up with what happened when I was offline for a couple of days and when tangled up with web issues. Though it was a long time ago — and it is doubtful he would remember — there was a time when Dennis Kucinich was a congressman that he would phone and we would talk. Then, as now, I found him to be a man of principle. The articulation of his convictions came as no surprise. He is devoted to peace and his words are carefully crafted.

It is not clear to me whether the actions taking place in Gaza are expressions of anger or a sinister plan that hides behind retaliation to justify its actions. The term I have used to describe people on the path of action is “skillful means”. The first chakra can spin either direction depending on whether we are on the path of action or the path of wisdom. This also affects the fight or flight mechanism. If might makes right, one may take risks to assert oneself or one’s agenda. If the odds do not favor success, it is folly to stake one’s future on means that are unlikely to succeed.

Not everyone is on the path of action, but those who are need to learn to achieve their desired outcomes without risking repercussions. All actions have reactions . . . and this is how karma teaches us to exercise restraint and foresight. Karma is not necessarily punitive. It can be educational . . . but only if one is willing to factor in consequences when unleashing projectiles. Mars is, of course, the symbol of the warrior, but there are at least two considerations to take into account when battling: is the risk worth taking and will the backlash destroy the mirage of achievement?

Politicians are, of course, generally on the path of action. For me, they become quite boring after a few speeches so by the time one is supposed to cast votes, enthusiasm has generally dwindled to the zero point. In the U.S., campaigns go on and on and on so the ennui is often reached a year before the voting. Well, I am surely at the nil point already.

On the path of wisdom, there is less movement and therefore less karma. We are generally engaged in an effort to align with truth rather than polarity which usually entails combat between perspectives. However, where religion and politics are concerned, we have here in the U.S. abundant proof that we can live among family, friends, neighbors, classmates, co-workers, and others in general regardless of our views. In short, there is no reason to impose our views on anyone else, but when we have situations such as in Ukraine and the Middle East, wisdom is needed. Where Ukraine is concerned, a simple plebiscite should have been offered without a single hostile action against anyone. People should have a right to choose, and no one has a right to kill another person in order to achieve his or her own ambitions.

In short, from my perspective, there is a lack of evidence of skillful means being at work in Ukraine. We do not see it on the Russian side, on the Ukrainian side, or among NATO or EU actions.

The situation in the Middle East is more complicated so sages are needed to mediate discussions that would result in everlasting peace. If a peace movement has global support, a point will come when no one is willing to target another human being. Even if one has a weapon, one would be ashamed to use it. Living the rest of one’s life with regrets is sad. If the deeds accompany the perpetrators into the afterlife, that is even sadder. If memories are embedded into the psyche and reappear in each incarnation, it is sadder yet. Are we wise enough, humane enough, and sensible enough to play it safe rather than sorry?

It is clear that opinions differ but if someone campaigning for office were to submit a plan for peace, not only would he or she deserve a Nobel prize, but the world would become a safer place. When people insist that those who want peace are naïve, are they speaking from experience or bias? Gandhi did not heed the advice of detractors and India finally shook off the British Raj. He modeled discipline and dissidence without firing a single shot.

In my view, the Flower Children of the Vietnam War era also prevailed by making war unpopular. Yes, there is more to the story, but leaders cannot hold onto their positions if support is lacking.

There are many sensible people in this world, people like Tulsi Gabbard, Dr. Gabriel Mate, even more controversial people like Dr. Cynthia McKinney and Julian Assange. We each need to understand that problems are never resolved before a win-win situation is reached. Pray for calmer heads and warmer hearts!

Nov 11, 2023    Avalokitesvara

There are different interpretations of the meaning of Bodhisattva. The word has two parts, neither of which is easy to translate. Together the term refers to someone who has awakened to true understanding, usually predicated upon compassion for all living beings . . . and who therefore has a willingness to forego Nirvana so as to help others to attain a similar state of psychospiritual poise. The belief is that through cultivation of purity, clarity will unfold. With insight and intuition, sympathy for the suffering of all life forms leads to a decision to postpone one’s own karmic rewards so as to uplift others.

A bodhisattva may be male or female, and there are no doubt thousands among us —as well as some who are discarnate — who have elaborate plans for future incarnations such as the eight Medicine Buddhas after which I named one of my herbal formulas, developed mainly to alleviate the suffering of those with Lyme disease, but it has many benefits for other conditions as well.

My next video will be on “Adaptogens” and Blue Buddha Nectar contains mostly adaptogenic herbs.

Meanwhile, to satisfy some curiosity, the information surrounding the Medicine Buddhas was given by Buddha Shakyamuni, however, only Mahayana Buddhists seem to accept the teachings in the sutra. The current Medicine Buddha is called Sangye Menla in Tibetan. He has been engaged in purification of the physical, emotional, and mental imbalances in many universes. The places that have been transformed are called Pure Land. It is only Sangye Menla who is blue, lapis lazuli blue. The Pure Lands are what the words suggest: places that are free of suffering and where all beings can unfold true understanding. Their karma is suspended until they are mature enough to benefit by insights into the consequences of their past deeds. In short, they will develop clarity and understanding before the karma is revisited.

We can take these concepts at face value or assume that having been brought into being by the Creator, we are well advised to align with the intent of Creation. We are specialists and have been gifted the potential to unfold specific talents. We can pursue understanding of self or become distracted by the various dramas in the Earth Theater.

A group of us are working very hard to develop a new system of education that focuses on self knowledge and self development, all starting very early in life. Many details will be shared over the next weeks, but some pieces are not ready to be linked. In the meantime, I think we can always pray for the highest good for all Kingdoms of Nature . . . and then we can allow the sages, both incarnate and without physicality, to show us the safest paths to alignment.

We can be absolutely certain that their wisdom exceeds ours and that their solutions would resolve the turbulence caused by karma.

Nov 8, 2023    Curtain Time

Over the weekend, I drove down to Portland, Oregon, in monsoon-like rain . . . with my birds and dog. Normally, driving is relaxing for me. I am away from distractions like e-mail and the Internet, and the Universe seems to like to speak to my Sagittarian Moon in the ninth house. However, the rain demanded heavy concentration on driving . . . and I was acutely aware that Saturn had just made its station and some people on the road would have slow reflexes. So, I decided to talk a little about Saturn, a little because otherwise an entire book could be devoted to just this one planet.

Saturn is the boundary of what is called the Ring-Pass-Not, the perimeter of the known planetary system in ancient times. Leaving out 90% of “the book” and focusing on two key matters is going to take some discipline on my part, but let’s start with how Saturn is seen from the outside. Saturn represents authority, some of it acquired by seniority and some by tasks delegated to those selected by the power behind the veil. In most cases, even presidents of countries and corporations serve at the discretion of those whose control is seldom seen by the majority. In short, Saturn can be forced to step down. This can occur through scapegoating, loss of confidence, capriciousness, or perhaps senility or retirement. Regardless, one cannot hold onto prestigious positions if higher ups are displeased.

We can easily apply this tenet to current events and watch to see what happens now that Saturn is no longer retrograde.

However, my topic for today is not political. It is about the cycles of manifestation. Saturn is at the very beginning of Pisces (tropical astrology, not sidereal). In the broadest sense, I believe this wraps up the loose ends of the Piscean Age. Yes, it has been through Pisces many times, but in the context of the termination of this cycle of civilization, I was shown, in visions, that the flaws would be discovered when there was emphasis on Scorpio. Publicity would occur with the transits through Sagittarius. Disgust with the status quo would be beyond repair by the end of the transits of Pluto and Saturn through Capricorn, seeding of the Aquarian Age would take a quantum leap in Aquarius, and now the loose ends have to be wrapped up.

This was shown to me in 1972 and so far everything has occurred as expected, but what I would like to emphasize today is that Saturn also rules manifestation. In essence, we cannot create what we cannot imagine. We cannot imagine if we do not trust our own inspiration and inner guidance . . . and if we cannot reflect on what we want to create or perhaps what we are here to create.

We are like actors and actresses on a stage. We get the script for a role we are to play, rehearse the role, and when we have learned it sufficiently, we begin to perform, usually in small theaters, like our homes or schools or towns. We rarely start out world famous. Initially, a lot of what we learn is achieved through crafting of an image, memorizing certain particulars that support the image, and this takes study. Then, after practicing, we may discover a nuance and introduce a unique interpretation. We begin to manifest originality and trust in our capacity to feel comfortable innovating. Then, we package up our talents and make a profession out of a study or hobby. Recognition spreads a little beyond our quite safe inner circle, and we venture further and further out into the world.

Then, we form alliances with “strangers” who may become partners. This is very different from family or coaches or teachers because these people seem to appear out of nowhere; but they become influential, and we have to learn to compromise and perhaps also to share the benefits of having a craft or talent or asset that is valued by others. What, however, do those important others see in us and why do they want to form bonds? We need to take time to assess motivations and the compatibility of goals. We make a lot of effort; and when Saturn reaches the top of the chart, we “get what we deserve” which can be “good” or “bad” depending on what we deserve. For some people, it is the end of the road in public terms; and for others, it is a time of recognition that may come in the form of promotions, awards, and new opportunities. Then, we ride the wave, share more, debug the things that went wrong, and face the arduous task of choosing between retirement or reinventing ourselves.

The actor or actress reads scripts of various roles and decides to manifest a completely new identity with Saturn crossing the ascendant. For some, this means more time on the golf course or catching up on reading the books that have been gathering dust. For others, they feel mature and ready for something major, but they have to build almost from scratch.

For those with Pisces rising, like yours truly, it may take two years before others realize that the world is changing irrevocably. Obviously, it is those with the vision who initiate, and they often spend a lot of time talking to the wind before someone listens. So I am dedicating this post to others who wear my kind of sandals, people who sense that this is the time to manifest a new reality, not the time to recover what is vanishing before our very eyes. However, the point I want to make that is relevant to everyone is that there are cycles, and we play different roles in different cycles. Whether or not we are professional actors or actresses, we define ourselves in certain ways and wear costumes that are suitable for those roles, but at various times in life, we simply decide to play a different part. This transformation can take a very minor tweak or one that is profoundly serious. This depends largely on the amount of responsibility one is equipped to carry.

Nov 5, 2023    The Spectrum

Think of every life experience from eating to exercise, stress, and illness as a spectrum with degeneration on one end and regeneration on the other. Then, every action contributes to wear and tear or to health.

Fungi play an important role in decomposing dead organic matter. If there were no fungi – and their allies, bacteria – we would be up to the gills in trash. However, thanks to their services, dust does return to dust and even landfills and superfunds are eventually converted to soil, perhaps not nutrient dense soil but nevertheless soil. How long it takes for the transformation of rubbish, yard waste, and kitchen scraps to decompose depends on a combination of climate and composting measures in which mushrooms and mold play an important role.

On the far opposite end of the spectrum, we have foods and herbs that contribute to healing. In Ayurvedic medicine, these are classified as rasayana substances and are described as promoting longevity. As a medical philosopher, I may prefer to say regeneration as it is very difficult to prove that we have extended our lives, but we can determine whether we are healthy and living life to the fullest.

In between fungi and rasayana herbs, there are foods, medicine, and life styles that tilt us more towards one or the other end of the spectrum. Perhaps, we grab a hit and run snack that fulfills a fleeting craving without contributing to well being. The needle moves a little to the left. Maybe, we make some juice with organic vegetables and the needle moves to the right. Then, perhaps we add some ashwagandha extract and the movement goes significantly to the right.

Mold can be dormant or vegetative. When active, it can consume both dead and live material.

What is the problem here? It is that when inhaled or ingested, mold can consume blood cells and tissues. It can also secrete toxins that can lead to serious health problems. Where property is concerned, drywall, wood, and other materials become the food source. Besides the damage to property, the active mold off-gasses mycotoxins that can be deadly.

Through a combination of fortuitous circumstances and perseverance, I recovered. There are milestones in my personal saga: meeting knowledgeable individuals at propitious times, having the opportunity to observe mold in darkfield microscopy, assiduous study of the work of predecessors, and considerable knowledge of herbal medicine. Even with my background, the challenges were enormous as were the expenses and loss of momentum in life. At this juncture, others do not need to rediscover the wheel. I have it and will share everything that could possibly benefit others.

Oct 27, 2023    Mold Journey Video

There are two reasons for prioritizing mold. The first is “immortal” in the sense that mold is not only ubiquitous, but practically indestructible. It is often overlooked as a serious medical threat . . . being attributed mainly to compromised immunity or hypochondria. It is frequently misdiagnosed, and more importantly, unlike chemical or metallic toxins, it is vegetative meaning it has the capacity to grow. It does this at the expense of property or tissues. It is one matter to decompose a dead tree and another to eat away human blood cells and tissues. In short, it is very dangerous and often debilitating.

The second reason is that recent flooding throughout the world has been really extensive so hundreds of millions of people have been impacted. Some have lost homes, family members, friends, pets, livestock, crops, and livelihood. Some have managed to dry out but have perhaps overlooked mold as well as precautionary measures that will reduce future risks.

We have just completed a very short introductory video. This is will be followed by a series of courses, roughly 20 minutes each with one topic per session.

As mentioned in previous posts, we had set a comfortable goal for launching in January, but we have tried to accelerate the pace. Not everything is ready yet, but for the moment, we are going to load this video and then six posts on Locals.com. These will be introductory in nature. They will cover remediation and health issues and will be posted at intervals of 7-10 days between now and the end of the year. There is no charge for these posts, but, of course, donations are always welcome:

https://moldjourney.locals.com/post/4694013/mold-journey

Then, there will be courses. Anyone who previously enrolled on iie-academy.org will have free tuition for Parts I and 2. The format will be a little different from before. The sessions will be short and prerecorded, not live. Each session will deal with one and only one issue, the idea being that faced with brain fog and fatigue, the task of recovery can be overwhelming so the solutions will be bite size. This way, the obstacles to safety and wellness can be conquered one-by-one.

Oct 22, 2023    Karma and Consequences

I have not forgotten the promise to Désirée, but that post is not quite finished. How are these requests made? Paid subscribers can post comments and questions. It would be overwhelming for me if there were not a threshold somewhere, but today’s post sneaked ahead of the queue because of the tensions in the world, my pacifism, and many requests to tell more stories from my own life.

After Vietnam, I accepted a new assignment with the State Department and arrived in India at the very end of 1968 after spending Christmas in Afghanistan. The official job title was “Special Assistant to the Ambassador for Low-End Poverty” and the first task was to conduct the largest research project ever having been done (at that time) in India. The goal was to determine if the so-called “Food for Peace” program made any difference in the areas receiving school lunches. I was sent to Ankara for special training in biostatics and then some beta studies were done in the Punjab. Next, we went to Hyderabad where we enlisted about 50 graduate students to do the actual field work. My personal team did spot checking by surprise visits to villages and analysis of the data collected. Suffice it to say that conditions were a little beyond rustic and proper hygiene was not easy to maintain.

The Embassy doctor was about what you expect of someone recruited by a federal agency, and the tests run to determine the cause of my endless fevers never revealed anything because of shortcuts taken in the laboratories. Long story short, I was medically evacuated to Honolulu where I overheard five doctors confirming that my situation was terminal.

Old East-West Center friends visited me in the hospital and agreed that the doctors would wind up killing me so they came back with a costume that allowed me to escape unnoticed and go home to my mother in Kona. Seven weeks later, one of the Honolulu doctors was in the lab, and the technician asked if he had seen my reports. All of a sudden, he realized they had not even noticed my absence. The treatment was to be the same as for tuberculosis but accelerated so that a year of drugs was packed into a few weeks.

I went to the Kona Hospital for the first injection and immediately became very dizzy. It was difficult to control the car on the way home. All I could think about was trying to stay lucid and then flop on the couch. Then, I remembered my mother had said, “Don’t forget to take birds in before the sun gets too strong for them.” Somehow, I managed to stand up and pick up the cage, but I fell backwards against a concrete step and could not get on my feet after that.

Those were the days of wired phones, so I crawled to the living room and pulled the cord to get the phone to fall onto the floor. I called the family doctor. He said he would come after he finished with a heart attack patient. Hours went by. I phoned him again. He said he forgot and would come by soon. Seems he forgot again, and I had to phone again. He eventually showed up, opened his black bag, pulled out a syringe and said, “This will make you laugh.” I very much doubted anything would make me laugh at that time.

Then, miraculously, he lifted me off the floor and put me on my mother’s bed as it was the closest. He did no examinations. Fortunately, my mother’s plans changed, and she came home a bit earlier than expected, was confused about why I was in her bed, and when I told her the story, she insisted on x-rays immediately.

The radiologist came out with a film, then asked, “When you were in Vietnam, you were not hit in the back with a bullet, were you?” I said I hadn’t been shot. She was quite insistent and asked, “You’d remember, wouldn’t you?” I said that I would, of course, have remembered, but there was no such event. Then, she showed me the x-ray. There was a hole right through a vertebra. I said, “You must have mixed up the film. This must be someone else’s x-ray.” She said she had only taken one picture that day and that this was definitely my x-ray. I assumed there had, in fact, been a mix up and put the idea aside.

Given what happened, I would have suspected a fracture of some type but definitely not a hole. Meanwhile, being back at the Kona Hospital, I found out that, unbeknownst to me, there had been an anesthetic in the previous injection and that the instructions were to administer it you know where, certainly not the arm. The nurse had not read the instructions. Now, I was back in the land of incompetence where the last thing one could possibly imagine happening would be rest and recovery. I asked when I could be discharged. I was told, “When you can walk.”

Here is where genes can be useful. Since childhood, I was constantly told that “Vikings don’t limp unless one leg is shorter than the other. Vikings die with their boots on.” I figured I was going to walk out. Caught in the hallway, I was asked what I was doing. I said, “I am walking out.” They told me I couldn’t leave, but I reminded them that they said I could leave if I could walk.

Sorry about this long account. Now the rest ties into the post on Black Crystals that has had such a lot of views.

It must be obvious that the would-be exorcist and I were not often on the same page. She felt I was fragile and needed to toughen up. I like being sensitive. I spent many lifetimes cultivating the attributes that I value. She told me to see a good psychic and find out about my most recent incarnations. I don’t know about now, but in Santa Fe in the 1980s, one could easily find a “good psychic” as well as many gifted healers.

I made an appointment and just as I was about to ask the question I had been commanded to ask, I saw the whole scene with my own inner vision. I could see myself, a blonde then as in this incarnation, maybe mid-thirties, probably Austrian, not Scandinavian. I heard noise at the door. It was kicked down, and two Nazi soldiers broke in with guns drawn. I was shot in the back while trying to go up the stairway.

I had been working in the Underground, rescuing Jewish children, and my last word was “Friedrich”. He was about three at the time. Instead of asking the question I had planned, I asked the psychic why a child would incarnate under such horrific circumstances. The response was so that I could experience the love necessary to undertake the risks I was taking to save the children.

At that time in my Ingrid incarnation, I had not yet developed the skills I eventually came to unfold so I was “studying” reincarnation but very seldom facilitating it. Yes, I had learned many techniques but was not entirely satisfied with any of them. Obviously, this changed during the 21 years in New Mexico, definitely one of my favorite places on Earth.

There are many methods, but what is elicited suggests that the injuries at the level of the subconscious do not automatically heal. There are terms used for this part of our psychological make-up. The Hawaiian word is unihipili. Many people today refer to this as the inner child. As an astrologer, I call this our lunar consciousness, but it is a part of our being that can only be transformed when brought to a conscious level so that there is interaction between the subconscious self and conscious self. In the third dimension, we are only conscious on one level at a time so a facilitator is generally necessary if the subconscious is to become conscious for a moment in time. The facilitator can be a healer, meaning it is not always necessary for the patient to be conscious but either the patient or healer must be conscious . . . or both can be. Only then can the subconscious be gradually transformed, like a file on the computer that is edited from time to time until the flow is perfect and the meaning is understood.

What was evident to me is that every injury persists until it is resolved. Stated a little differently, the incarnating individual will continuously sustain injuries to the weakest areas until really deep healing has occurred.

My situation was becoming increasing challenging. I was on the lecture circuit, often with heavy boxes of books. One astrologer said that I must have packed the complete works of Robert Hand in my luggage, but the reality was these were my own writings.

My back hurt, and often I could not sleep because the beds in the hotels and homes where I stayed were aggravating the pain. Sometimes, I would lie on the floor for days on end writhing in pain. Dr. Shrikrishna Kashyap offered to help. He would give me five treatments, but if they did not work, I would have to have spinal fusion. Well, I had worked with a chiropractor in Kona, Dr. Nathalie Tucker, and had seen that the initial results were impressive, but the long-term left a lot to be desired.

I asked Shyam, the nickname by which most people knew him, what his plan was. He said he would train the nadi to interact with the nerves and teach the body the fill the hole in the spine. The nadi are pathways in the aura, what you see in Kirlian photographs, that have correspondences in the nervous system. I was lying face down on a chiropractic table, fully clothed. He would work his magic. I had complete faith in him and his approach. I think this is important because the subconscious must be able to accept the approach to healing. This was the second great teaching of Morrnah Simeona: whatever does not feel good to the unihipili will be rejected.

It was also something I learned very early as a budding medical astrologer: there must be trust and rapport between the therapist and client or doctor and patient. If not, harm could occur. I have stories to tell about this also.

To wrap up this saga, I would like to underscore that more than a decade elapsed between the x-ray in Kona and view of my demise in my past life. A few more years passed before the hole was filled. Now, four more decades have passed, and I believe that Shyam’s treatment was entirely successful. For this, I will be eternally grateful. From my perspective, he did not treat me for one injury but rather cleared the issue for future incarnations as well. So, I will always be in his debt and always honor him and the gifts he developed and shared.

The reason for keeping Désirée waiting is that tensions are so high now . . . and passions are also aroused. We all have certain emotions that are more likely to be expressed than other emotions. We can each become more conscious of these feelings. Are we more susceptible to fear or anger or grief or resistance? Do we want peace or revenge? There is an opportunity on a global level to be discerning and to understand that what we do has repercussions until equal and opposite balance the karma. Can I love a Nazi? I cannot love the politics, but I can understand that the leaders are delusional and create cadre who will follow orders . . . even when the orders violate the conscience and faith of soldiers. This will only end when people are clear about the reason we have doctrines that teach us right from wrong. We have a choice about whether to obey the state or a higher power. We have a choice about whether to love or to hate, whether to heal or to injure, whether to unite or alienate.

Please choose wisely and suggest the same to others.

Oct 14, 2023    Black Crystals

Some of you have, believe it or not, been following my work for a little over 50 years. Others are new subscribers so I feel sometimes that a few introductory comments will help the new readers to understand the contextual nature of some of my thinking. Those who have been riding this wave for a long time will hopefully not mind a little repetition.

During the 1970s, I had the great good fortune of spending a considerable amount of time with the late Morrnah Simeona, kahuna la'paau.  Among the many observations she shared were some insights into the places where tragic events had occurred.  The incidents could have involved anything from traffic accidents to a major war. Morrnah said that there were black crystals over the places where these events took place. Personally, I didn't see them, and unfortunately, I never asked what the crystals looked like, how many there were, how big they were, how high they were, etc.  Obviously, an opportunity slipped by.

Morrnah was invited by the Japanese Government to deal with the after effects of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and she told me she planned to do the same for the Third Reich. The feeling I had when she described the nuclear catastrophes was that the work she was doing required incredibly advanced skills, great courage, and probably many risks. However, it was fascinating to me that she had been officially invited to undertake this cleansing work. I also feared for her well-being when she told me her plans for doing something similar in Germany. I never asked about other places, such as Gaza, and I do not recall her ever having mentioned any other countries, just specific intersections where injuries and deaths had occurred.

In December of 1979, I moved from Hawaii to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Morrnah did visit me there, but the subject of black crystals did not come up. What she sometimes talked about were unique situations in which she used her gifts to disempower those who were misusing their power. This, in fact, had a context for me because there had been a few situations in Hawaii where we had jointly visited a patient and seen dark entities, but I saw what might be called ghost-like energies, usually grayish and sometimes slimy. I did not see crystals and did not ask Morrnah if she saw them. I suspect I made the assumption that we were both seeing the same entities.

Then, a series of curious incidents happened in my life.

An heiress invited me to dinner at a high-end steakhouse called the Bull Ring. I am a vegetarian, and the only vegetarian item on the menu was a baked potato. To be honest, it failed all culinary tests, but it had a huge mushroom beside it.  I don't eat mushrooms, but the hostess kept nudging me to eat the mushroom.  I refused.  This seemed to be the end of the story, but there was anger in the air. I felt I was being bullied to eat something that triggered apprehension. The tension was so strong that I started to feel horribly uneasy.

Some time later, out-of-town visitors suggested meeting at a Swiss restaurant for lunch.  The only vegetarian item on the menu was a quiche.  There were four of us at the table, but I became grumpy and actually not very sociable. I had no idea why my mood was so dark. In the car on the way home, a colleague said she found my attitude and behavior disturbing.

I could not sleep that night.  I began running a fever and thought I was coming down with the flu.  The colleague said it wasn't the flu but a past life memory.  My response was not very respectful, "For you, everything is about past lives, but I feel like I have the flu."  She said, she would regress me.

Whatever was there was really stuck.  She began pounding my arms against the massage table. Fortunately, the table was heavily padded, but nothing seemed to be happening.  After hours of pounding, I saw the past life.  I was a man, sort of middle-aged, European, perhaps Greek.  I saw the houses, roads, and other people clearly.  In that life, I was actually much the same as this:  philosophical, studious, and alone except for a helper who was given a tray of mushrooms as a present from none other than a past incarnation of the person who had invited me to the steakhouse.  In that life, I went into a coma and was abducted.  The rest of the story is horrific, not really suitable for anyone to read. Let’s just say, the trauma continued for five days. During that time, as the captive, I could see hands reaching down to help me cross over. There were people waiting for me on the other side, but I did not dare surrender my body while the torturers were looking for specific hormones they could not create on their own.

Then, I looked up, as Ingrid, not the Greek recluse.  I saw a black crystal, small, maybe the size of an almond. Then, an angel with beautiful wings came and took the crystal and did something to my third eye.

Next, I had to leave the room very quickly. Up came the mushrooms from the quiche, nothing else, just totally undigested mushrooms.  The fever and aches and pains were gone . . . so, yes, it was a past life memory and perhaps involved the guests from out-of-town also, but I only identified two other people in the exploration of that nasty ending of a life.

Even though I finally had corroboration of the existence of black crystals, I did not have the foresight to discuss these events with Morrnah. Suffice it to say that a point came when — the people involved in that past life as well as the new circle of acquaintances in Santa Fe — critical mass was reached. Sort of out of the blue, Morrnah phoned from Hawaii to ask if I needed help. I told her that I had not slept for 23 days because I heard my housemate doing some form of exorcism in the room next to mine and then something like broken glass would rain down on me. She said she would disempower the would-be exorcist. I felt a warning was in order: give her a chance to understand that what she thought she was doing was not straight fact. Morrnah hesitated to accept a delay but agreed. Then, both of us, she in Hawaii and me in Santa Fe, saw a gray ghost next to the housemate, on her left. He was playing with her desire for power and feeding her ego. Long story short, I moved out because the housemate loved her new occupation; and the adventures were clearly not safe for anyone. Morrnah dealt with the ghost, but disempowerment was very hard for the ego to accept.

The story was building up. The residuals of traumas have aftermath. Several years had elapsed since Morrnah first mentioned black crystals in the context of World War II; but my work with facilitating altered states of consciousness took a quantum leap.

As some of you remember, there was a long history here. It actually began in early childhood, but there were various milestones, and seeing a black crystal was a catalyst to my thinking. Obviously, Morrnah had shared this knowledge, but she had a very mild way of imparting her understanding so sometimes I did not immediately see the ramifications of what she shared. Well, at times, I was quick on the uptake, but the black crystal information took years to process.

If this story seems a little convoluted and perhaps too personal for generalizations to be made, I apologize, but my goal has been to lay a foundation for a yet deeper insight into the current tensions in the world.

A tiny recap might help to move to the next step. The first is that where tragedies occur, especially perhaps violent tragedies, there is a residual dark energy that seems to cling to the place where the events occurred. Then, we might speculate that after some time, the darkness crystalizes. This is a supposition, not an effort to state a fact. This may be the correct explanation and perhaps not. However, I can remember a visit to Mexico with several family members. I was in my early teens, maybe 14. We climbed up a pyramid, and I felt totally nauseous, more or less similar to how I felt after eating the quiche. I don’t know if I picked up some energy or whether I had had past life experiences there, but the feeling was completely sickening.

To avoid too much digression, what Morrnah said was that the black crystals not only remain attached to the locales where the tragic events occurred, but they attract, perhaps even cause, more misfortune to occur in those places.  Thus, it seems probable that besides Japan and Germany, there must be crystals in many other places, like Ukraine and Gaza.

Yesterday, I offered a version of this post to the person who hosts Morrnah Simeona's Ho'oponopono on YouTube. He declined the offer on the basis that Morrnah did not teach how to remove the black crystals. In a way, this is true, but in my case, the crystal was removed by an angel. From time-to-time, I have been blessed to have seen angels intervene so the “lesson” is that black crystals exist, but it takes very special abilities to reduce the consequences. Only a fool would venture to undertake something this complex without lifetimes of training.

This said, if we can accept that this is the case, then we understand that our so-called negative feelings probably trigger the crystals whereas our purity would hopefully protect us and others from horrific consequences.

So, while cautioned, I decided to publish this on Substack because the world situation is currently very intense. In the previous post, I mentioned the populating of the Middle East with “foreigners” from various other parts of the Universe. Someone posted a question in the comments asking where I got the information. Actually, I think I was born with it; but it became active when I was very young, maybe seven. I saw everyone taking birth on Earth as arriving on a kind a wave that had a specific timeline. As my understanding gathered nuance, I saw that each person had a place of origin and purpose. The Middle East is very diverse; and it has an ancient and complicated culture. If at all possible, we should be sending our love to the Middle East. If we cannot love those who perform heinous acts, we can at least send our compassion to the victims. If we flood the area with kindness and generosity and reach out to victims in the same way that many responded to the tragedy in Lahaina, the community will itself bond. The sadness and grief on the ground will contribute to a spirit of Oneness in the community that can, in fact, become global. Then, I believe the tensions will subside, and a just solution will be found. This can only happen when there is an energetic shift from fear and hostility to fairness and goodwill. The entire world can contribute to this effort by sending kind wishes for safety and freedom from fear. Cleansing could occur rapidly if many take responsibility for creating peace and understanding. Please commit to sending protection!

Oct 13, 2023    The Garden of Eden

Many thousands of years ago, there was a Paradise, referred to as the Garden of Eden. It was unpopulated by people but often visited by those in search of something transcendental. The majority of humans on the Earth were individuals who lived just a little more consciously than the animals. They experienced Spirit in everything and recognized the sparks of Divine Life that existed in each other, in animals, in trees, and in the lakes and rivers and oceans and rocks.

A group of individuals who lived on a planet beyond Neptune were engaged in a dark scheme to obtain supremacy that entailed tremendous risks and power plays. Just before the "explosion" of their misuse of power, they escaped on a space ship that landed near the present Gaza Strip. They were few in number and convinced of their superiority and set about the task of asserting their authority and dominion in an area that had previously never known disharmony. Being extremely different but small in number compared to the other beings on Earth, they tried to maintain their distinctiveness by conservation of their seed and deliberate mating with their own kind, many of whom were not particularly fertile.

These beings excelled in intellectual pursuits, none of which were regarded as meaningful to those who already lived on Earth. They brought with them a writing system and some understanding of science, especially physics, but without resources, their knowledge could not be put to any meaningful use and, for reasons of survival, they often lived in ways that were quite similar to those whose ways were more in harmony with the land except that they were not respectful of life or land and tended therefore to exploit without proper attention to cultivation, preservation, restoration, or revitalization of land.

Over time, their numbers and domination became a concern and a council meeting was called on Sirius to discuss how to handle the situation that was developing on Earth. Everyone remembered the destruction of the planet in the orbit beyond Neptune and how it had shattered into fragments and left a hole in the part of the Solar System that had once served as a kind of outpost.

The Sirian Council convened for quite some time and there were a number of visiting delegations at the meeting, including one from Andromeda. A decision was reached that in order to avoid too much disturbance to the Earth that some of the intellectual activity would be permitted to anchor on the Earth but it would need to be spiritualized. Therefore, 300 pairs of souls would go to Earth to establish another settlement in which the intellect was perfectly aligned to Spirit and in every way superior to the settlement established by the survivors of the destruction to the outpost planet. These beings would come in pairs so that they would not suffer from the absence of appropriate mating opportunities and so that they could assure the continuity of their seed. The volunteers for this mission are characterized by a very high frequency of Aquarius vibratory energy, abundant goodwill, and tremendous knowledge of all intellectual developments: science, the ritual of manifestation, arts and music, architecture, and organization. This is not to suggest that Sirius itself is exactly of this type but rather that the volunteers for this mission were predominantly Aquarian and they came at a time in which it would be relatively easy to anchor these energies.

A very small delegation from Andromeda came somewhat later. They carry a different energy which can be discussed in more detail should the need arise. As time went on, there have been many other groups, each with a particular purpose, that settled on this Planet.

This is the problem, the Earth itself is, like other planets, very much created and maintained by sound but the destruction of resources, especially trees, has changed the way the wind moves and the sound currents are no longer sustaining life on Earth. On top of this, the permeation of the air waves with destructive sound constitutes an unbearable torment for Lady Gaia. She is therefore going to be spared further pain by a series of events that will establish a new frequency on the Earth.

This has nothing to do with some of the prophecies made by those who seek to interpret the changes in their own languages. The Earth is not moving to another orbit or changing its density or dimensionality. It is going to relocate some of the most disturbing individuals. This opportunity arose when Pluto moved into a position similar to the outpost planet. The frequency on Pluto at this time is suitable for the relocation of some individuals in whom the outpost vibration is still predominant. It would not be correct to think of Pluto as a hell or even as a place of exile. It is a new home for people who arrived on Earth more or less by accident and whose presence on the Earth has become too disturbing. The nature of their existence on Pluto will be similar to that on the outpost planet. There will be a great compression of vibration, forcing energies to move in close proximity one to another so that the slightest movement is perceived by others and nothing goes unnoticed. This will serve to make them aware of how energies affect one another and how nothing escapes notice even if they think they are undetected. While we do not believe the experience to come constitutes a punishment for their behaviors on Earth, it will be a great learning experience in which an appreciation for consequences is learned.

Who are these people? They can be found all over the Planet at this time but in greater density still in the Middle East. They are incarnate in many different races and nationalities and even religions but are predominantly of the tradition of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam and, even after many incarnations on Earth, they are still resistant to seeing God in Nature and the stars. They are people who lack the mystical insights of the Sirians and other emissaries. They are people who assert themselves in the fulfillment of their own aims without cooperating with that which sustains life and harmony and the health of Lady Gaia.

They will depart in many different ways and when they have left, there will be period of temporary overlordship by a delegation from Arcturus until the Earth can be healed and revivified. The Sirian beings and their many descendents will remain and work with the indigenous peoples to restore harmony. Technology will not be abandoned, but it will be recalibrated and adapted so that discord is avoided.

There is much more to this unfolding tale. There is nothing to fear. All that is happening is occurring under the watchful eye of Galactic Elders and the resettlement plans are being worked out in ways that harmonize perfectly with each soul's unique needs.

Oct 12, 2023    War or Peace

People have asked for more and more personal stories. In the summer of 1964, I was on the training program at my first professional job after having just received my master’s degree. Returning to my temporary apartment in New York City, I turned on the radio and heard the report of the Gulf of Tonkin “incident” . . . then said something unprintable in front of my housemate. Like many at that time, I believed the incident had actually occurred, but where I differed from most others was that I assumed President Lyndon Johnson had given an order to provoke an attack. I was vehemently anti-war and some two and half years later accepted a post with the State Department in Vietnam, my idea being that somehow there was a way to stop the war.

The others in the office were more or less split between hawks and doves. When asked by a Vietnamese, “Mademoiselle, why is your country dropping bombs on our cities when we are not dropping bombs on your cities?” Why? I apologized profusely and promised to do my utmost to stop the war.

What I saw was that the government, our government, was almost completely incompetent; but it had a hidden agenda which I am not at liberty to discuss since I was not supposed to know what the agenda was. That was almost 60 years ago; but governments are behemoths, and do not change much over time. However, I have changed. As I reflect back on various incidents, I have a wider understanding of what happened and why.

We must however always keep in mind that a photo op is a completely staged event that has an inherent intent. If the cameras are rolling, it is almost certain the script has been rehearsed. A briefing is also a staged event. It is a gathering where one or more persons deliver messages, most of which have been printed out in advance. In short, the news across all major channels will be the same unless the reporters drink less and get out of their hotels go hunting for stories.

The Tet Offensive was, of course, a turning point. What it proved was that even if there are hundreds of thousands of boots on the ground and multiple intelligence agencies gathering information, nothing really happens with the information until after an incident has occurred. My job had nothing to do with intelligence. My task was to reinvent the fiscal system of Vietnam, allegedly so that the country could stand on its own feet without being subsidized by the U.S. That mission was accomplished, but finding a way to end the war took a little more time and luck.

Let me however give a tiny window into the interactions between the hawks and doves in our office before the Tet Offensive. The North Vietnamese asked for a truce to celebrate their New Year’s (Tet). Responses on the U.S. side were initially negative because previous truces had been violated. A compromise was reached, and people expected three days of peace. As we know, that never happened. There was a simultaneous attack on 23 major targets that involved tens of thousands of troops, all on the move . . . without anyone knowing?

The grain of rice that cannot cross the Israeli border without security forces knowing is similar, is it not? Is it even remotely believable that absolutely no one was in charge, and no one knew what was happening? History will be rewritten many times, but perhaps not in our lifetimes.

The purpose of this post is not to question intel, but rather to rally a call for sanity and peace. The ability to the destroy the world as we know it has existed since Trinity, 16 July 1945. The more people take sides, the more they reinforce troops and provide weapons, the more they rally people to hate each other, the more the risks to everyone are escalated. Killing one another does not solve any problems, not in this life nor in the afterlife, nor in the incarnations to come.

Killing people in wars does not enhance security nor prove right or wrong. It just destroys the lives of some people and deepens the fears, grief, and anger of the living. Children who survive grow up with injured parents or as orphans; and to the extent that they cannot manage their feelings, they may seek revenge and keep the hostilities active for centuries to come.

As someone who has regressed people into countless past lives, I can also say that the scars are deep. They are retained by the subsconscious, the unihipili, to use the Hawaiian terms taught by Morrnah Simeona. Hence there are usually weaknesses in the areas of the body that were injured, not to mention phobias, distrust, and psychospiritual potentials that are stalled rather than optimized. Bringing the awareness to the surface increases understanding, but it seldom makes the issue disappear because to do so would create disharmony between the unihipili and the conscious self, the uhane.

Everyone I have regressed has evidenced some measure of sensitivity to the last moments of previous lives. Exactly which impressions were engraved on the psyches of the individuals depends on the individual. For example, I heard Gregorian chants while being burned at the stake in a past life. Knowing my musical sensitivity, it is no surprise that the last memories were of sound, but I spent much of this incarnation being terrified of Gregorian chants. It was so extreme that I once asked someone to stop the car as I preferred to walk home. I was probably 20 minutes from home by car, hours in the dark and on foot in the snow if I walked. I remember I was in the back seat of a BMW with my right ear near the speaker, and I was trembling the whole time.

At this time, I don’t remember the occasion, but I think we were returning from a candlelight vigil at Los Alamos so the part of my psyche that was aroused related to life and death issues.

Whether we are talking about the Middle East or Ukraine or any other part of the world, violence is a primitive expression of bias. I am an astrologer so I see how different points of view can be. If people want to work through their feelings, we can also explore the origin of the biases in this and previous lives. Accepting differences does not require us to change our own preferences, merely to allow people the freedom to have their own points of view.

Politicians may disagree on some points but agree on other issues. Rightly or wrongly, we permit the majority to rule. In the meantime, we can explain our own positions to see if they appeal to those who oppose them. We can take a somewhat less incendiary topic, maybe taxes rather that life and death issues. Would we prefer a system of taxes that is easy to administer and fair or one that creates economic injustice? If we word it that way, almost everyone would agree that fairness is preferable over anything that deepens inequalities.

Sane and sensible people can discuss solutions. If they fail on the first attempt, they can try again and again, but nothing gives anyone the right to order another person to risk his or her life because of a difference of views. Granted, some situations are very, very complicated, but they will not be resolved by attempting to annihilate those who resist the way power is used or misused by others.

At a time when countless millions of people have been dislocated by fires and floods, are we really hell-bent on increasing the suffering? Are we so immature as a species that we think the only way to prevail is to misuse power? I am sure there is a lot of fear and frustration, but bullets are not going to lessen the terror. Only common sense will bring people to the table. Then, it will take mature diplomacy and sensitivity to guarantee the rights of everyone in a way that is safe, humane, and sustainable. I call upon everyone in the world to renounce hostilities and discuss solutions that evidence respect, fairness, and sensitivity to the interests of all people regardless of religion, race, nationality, politics, and inequities. All nations must refuse to support the aggression of other nations. It is not a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils or determining who is more right or more wrong. It is about learning to deal with issues in a civilized and responsible manner.

Oct 10, 2023   Asuras

According to my astrology software, Pluto will be going direct within the next few hours. One cannot always trust the calculations because they are based on estimates made in 1950 about orbits and eccentricities such as the Earth wobbling on its axis. It felt like Pluto actually made its station yesterday.

The planets have been in a seesaw pattern with all the inner planets opposite the outer planets, all of which have been retrograde. Saturn will be the next to go direct, early November. So, I would like to take a moment to make a few comments on these two planets . . . and then go off the rails a bit with a rant or two . . . and end with a little update on the Maui fund raising.

My primary astrological teacher, the late Ivy Jacobson, was perhaps the foremost astrological technician of the 20th century. She was therefore also the master or mistress of rules, one of which is that Pluto wears a magic helmet that renders him invisible. He is pulling the strings, but it is hard to know exactly who he is and where he is. Interestingly, there is not really much consensus among astrologers about the nature and role of Pluto. I am probably in the minority in that I take a dim view of this ruler of the Underworld. Others put the emphasis on deep transformation, irrevocable change, but I think Machiavelli had his finger on the pulse when saying that a ruler must always say what the people want to hear.

In sum, the long-term is affected by popularity so it is folly to provoke dissidence. There is a glimmer of hope here because the suggestion is that very unpopular actions can result in the disempowerment of the abuser of power: karma has consequences!

There is today a lot of speculation about who holds the power. Fingers point different directions: the World Economic Forum, the Khazarians, the Club of Rome, the manipulators of the gigantic mutual funds like Vanguard and BlackRock, NATO, the World Health Organization, defense industry contractors, the bloodline families, or perhaps the extraordinarily wealthy people who manipulate the strings of all these organizations.

Much effort has been made to study DNA to see how the royals are related, who descended from Adam and Eve, whether or not the Khazarians are Europeans or Semitic, and how the governing bodies of the plutocratic corporations overlap and control.

Anything I might say on this topic would be more or less the equivalent of copy and paste since I have not used my incarnate existence to research power but rather perhaps to foment resistance to the misuse of power.

What is clear is that the abuse of power has been ongoing for thousands of years and that removing one nemesis is more or less like dealing with one snake on the head of Medusa.

Unlike many, I do not believe Pluto is part of our solar system. Whether it is a planet or planetoid does not matter, the orbit is too eccentric to suggest it will remain forever so perhaps the departure depended on first recognizing its existence and then rejecting its influence.

Saturn is ambitious, but the ascent of the ladder ultimately depends on the whims of the puppeteer which is why lobbyists outnumber elected officials and why those officials do the bidding of their masters. In the I Ching, advice on how to live within the bounds of conscience is elucidated. When one is prompted to do what is unethical, one can step down or aside, or bide one’s time, feigning a measure of obedience but waiting for the opportune moment to deal with the snakes.

If one believes “As above, so below”, then the planetary symbolism is quite profound. The inner planets represent ourselves and those closest to us: family, friends, kinsfolk, and those with whom we are affiliated through affection and close communication. Yes, we sometimes have conflicts that escalate to the level of that of Adam and his first wife, Lilith, but we put those aside when the threats are external . . . which is why many want an alien invasion . . . because they see it as a means of consolidating power.

I see an alien presence as a rescue, like a Galactic scale relief mission, but a faked alien invasion would certainly serve the purposes of the powers that be . . . but only if the people fall for it. If the alleged aliens are presented as posing a threat, it is safe to assume that the media hype is part of yet another false flag event. If the aliens accept the surrender of the Asuras, then we can look forward to a wonderful future in which we all live in harmony with each other and with Nature.

Oct 5, 2023   Memories of Morrnah

This substack channel started in January and this is 116th post. There was a pdf on Homo Borg Genesis, the launch, followed by a post on Removing the Obstacles to Cure which had 96 reads, a little pathetic. A few hours ago, my team completed a lovely two minute video which was immediately gifted to the wits behind the Morrnah Simeona's Ho'oponopono YouTube channel. Please enjoy and share.

Oct 3, 2023   Mold Trailer

Within hours of exposure to water, mold can appear. Besides the risk mold poses to health, it can cause serious property damage. Any property or possessions that have been exposed to moisture may become colonized by mold. This means that when there is heavy rain, melting snow, flooding, leaking pipes, clogged pipes, poor drainage, damp crawl spaces, attics, or basements, mold will probably be present. Likewise, mold can be found in air conditioners, air filtration devices, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, certain kinds of medical equipment, potted plants, greenhouses, refrigerators, washing machines, automobiles, hotels, restaurants, libraries, concert halls, in short, just about anywhere. At best, mold will cause deterioration and loss of value to real property and belongings. At worst, it will eventually claim the lives of pets, loved ones, and oneself. The purpose of this series is to promote vigilance surrounding mold and to define the correct procedures for removing mold.

Everything starts with either vacating the moldy property or remediating the damage, a task that is usually best performed by experts. However, throughout, care must be taken not to become exposed to mold. The usual modes of infection are inhalation, ingestion, and contact with skin lesions. Allergies are, unfortunately, not a clue to risks. One may or may not be allergic to mold. Only 25% of humans show allergic reactions, but mold is dangerous because it feeds on organic materials, including human tissues. As it does so, it seems to grow. The technical description of this process is that the mold becomes vegetative; and as it colonizes the host, a mycelium is formed. This is a mass that can be seen with the eyes or x-rays whereas the individual structures are microscopic.

Mold can make people very sick. Some people are so allergic that they go into anaphylactic shock. Others become fatigued, disoriented, and fuzzy in the head, Most people gain weight, have difficulty functioning, and are misdiagnosed as hypochondriacs or sometimes as patients with multiple chemical sensitivities or even cancer.

The current educational effort covers the disasters, remediation, and health measures people can take to regain their vitality. Having gone through a horrible ordeal with mold after the improper installation of a washing machine . . . and years of study and discipline, I recovered completely and have since helped countless people who have faced similar crises in life.

Please become our online guest for this hugely important series devoted to raising awareness of mold and eliminating the risks associated with mold exposure.

Oct 1, 2023  Mold

As announced, the schedule for prioritizing mold has moved from January to the present. Even since the last post, several more major floods have occurred in many parts of the world, some in major cities. All mold needs in order to become a threat to life and property is moisture and something to eat. It is not particularly fussy about cuisine and will feast on anything from erythrocytes to nuclear radiation.

This post will be short, but in a few days, there will be a deluge . . . of words and images, not water! However, I am asking again to cut me some slack because we really had a comfortable schedule for launching in early January and the platforms for this are still under construction.

We will be podcasting on Substack by mid-week. This is new and will be free to everyone . . . not because I can afford to live without income but because the urgency is such that we need to share as much as possible as quickly as possible.

With any luck, we will be posting flipbooks by this time next week. They are uploaded on a development site and working but not all features of the site are functional. The flipbooks have lots of images and explanations.

There is also a book in the works and some films.

The floods we are seeing in the news are almost beyond imagination . . . and to be honest, I do not believe the explanations meteorologists are providing. Yes, if a dam breaks, it will be disastrous, but the amount of rain and hail is simply astronomical. It is one thing to bail a house or business or school and another for the entire structure to collapse beyond repair.

Initially, my plan is to put the emphasis on making spaces safe for occupancy. Some existing structures and belongings will probably be salvageable but probably not everything. It will depend partly on how quickly the impacted area can be dried out and what types of materials are involved.

The next step is mold inhibition. For all intents and purposes, mold cannot be killed. It is encased in chitin, like an oyster, and can become vegetative whenever opportunity presents. The idea therefore is to inhibit its ability to become active. Once it is active, it extends hyphal structures that are like feeding tubes, straws for the mold. Digestion occurs inside these hyphae because mold itself does not have a stomach.

When this happens, not only are mycotoxins released, but the mold colonizes, meaning lots of hyphae cluster and form what is called a mycelium. This can occur inside the body or anywhere the mold has the conditions it needs to be active, i.e., vegetative.

Simultaneously, we have to think about the risks to people and pets. Some beings are allergic to mold. I am one of those beings, but I do not go into anaphylactic shock. I suffer all kinds of bizarre psychological symptoms, but I am not quite at death’s door, at least not initially. Research suggests that 25% of humans are allergic to mold. This does not mean that mold is harmless for the other 75% because the long-term problem is colonization and serious damage from the mycotoxins.

Mold is seldom diagnosed properly. Many patients are regarded as hypochondriacs and many others are misdiagnosed as having cancer.

As mentioned, today’s post is short, but there is so much in the works, and we will roll it out as quickly as possible. You can share the anticipation with your friends and family, social networks, and support groups. I am myself a long-term survivor of very severe mold infection so I have experience that will hopefully be of benefit to many others.

Sep 24, 2023  Emergency: Change in Priorities

Well, this was not on the original schedule, but here we go. We have been planning a very long series of videos on mold, but with all the adverse weather conditions, I am going to push the launch as quickly as possible. It was slated to start in January, but the information is needed now so I will do my utmost to provide as much input as possible as quickly as possible. If you find errors and incoherence, please let me know. I am burning quite a lot of midnight oil and sometimes my mind drifts upstairs to my bed.

As you know, I have even been concerned about mold in places that were on fire because a lot of water is normally used to put out fires. When there are earthquakes, pipes break, drainage systems are damaged, and many homes and buildings are exposed to the elements. Tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, broken dams, overflowing rivers, heavy rain, unbelievable hail, and millions and millions of people without proper shelter are what we are seeing all over the Planet. On top this, right before harvest season, crops were damaged. I have Pisces rising and have been fighting tears for weeks. This should not be happening. So many people are absolutely innocent, and it is not merely humans. There are pets and wild animals and birds that are also homeless. There will be chaos in many places as the infrastructure for managing so many crises at once simply does not exist.

By one report, there were 100 million people in China needing to be relocated. At this juncture, I do not have a complete list of affected areas, but starting a few weeks ago, there was, as noted, massive flooding in many parts of China, including in the vicinity of the bioweapons research facilities. There was a dam break in Norway that affected people in both Norway and Sweden. There has been heavy hail in parts of Germany and more recently in Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Colombia. I apologize if I have omitted some places.

The Frankfurt Airport was under water. Then, Athens flooded. France has been drowning. Now, there are anomalies in Italy, Siberia, and several different places in India: the Himalayas, Madhya Pradesh, and now Gujarat. In the U.S., Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas were under water, and now there are floods in North Carolina and up into the Chesapeake Bay area where I was born, and as far as parts of Maryland.

There are volcanic eruptions as well, on the Big Island of Hawaii and Java, and perhaps places I have missed.

There are historic and religious sites that have been hit very hard, including Mecca and several ancient temples in India.

Some people have perished; some will be permanently relocated. Some will try to rebuild. Souvenirs have been lost along with heirlooms and items of sentimental value.

Infrastructure is very hard to maintain when so many people are dislocated and grieving. If my researches show anything, there will be consequences affecting our genes for several generations . . . and impacts on our memories for countless lifetimes. Some people will be in shock for more than the balance of the present incarnations.

What can I do? I can explain some of risks to property and health if structures are not remediated in a safe manner. I am living proof that there can be life after mold and even after massive financial devastation and health impairment. I know the herbs that will help with both personal items, treasures, and real property. I know what can happen to people who inhale or ingest mold and how to avoid risk to their health. I also have a few ideas about how to survive if there are many crop failures. So, forgive me to putting aside some of the metaphysical musings. I want to do as much as possible to minimize the challenges so many are facing at this time.

Sep 21, 2023    Remembering Past Lives

The post on the Bardo generated a request for help in discovering past lives . . . and also a number of emails about correcting a word, thank you! It’s nice to know others are on their toes when I am slipping!

There have already been a number of posts on memory, but a tiny recap will help us to get started with the specific question about how to remember events from previous incarnations.

First, we have to differentiate between memories that are essentially karmic and those that refer more to destiny, let’s call them dharmic. When we are in a learning mode and have yet to master the art of living in the third dimension, we tend to create some waves, sometimes intentionally and sometimes without even realizing what we are doing. All those waves have to be harmonized.

Surfing can be a lot of fun, but it can also be reckless and dangerous to oneself and others. Karmic memories are symbolized by the Moon in the horoscope. First, there is the sign of Moon, then the relationships of the Moon to the planets, and then the house position and nakshatra if using the Vedic system of astrology.

The Moon is the clue to deep persuasions, interests, and issues. The basic temperament will be revealed by the element associated with the sign of Moon. The sequence in astrology is fire, earth, air, and water, and there are three signs associated with each element. The elements, in turn, are related to specific emotions. We all have the potential for experiencing a wide range of emotions, but one might say that the first emotion to arise will usually be the one associated with the element connected to the Moon. For example, fire wants to defend itself so it may become angry, aggressive, argumentative, or even combative. Mastering this instinct may take many incarnations and a lot of maturity in the current lifetime.

For most people, fire feels dangerous, but if we dig a little deeper, we will understand two points that are usually missed by those who are not fiery. First, fire is intuitive and hence responses may leap ahead of formal logic. Second, the goal is to set things right. Now, let’s use the Maui fires as an example. The short-term response may have been to defy the authorities who were blocking escape routes. The longer-term response has been to use the Hawaiian concept of “pono” to set things right. This has taken a formal role in which ceremonies were held to release the ghosts who lost their physical bodies as a consequence of the fires. The ongoing effort has been to respond to the needs of the survivors through emergency relief. Again, in some instances, it was necessary to defy authorities who were confiscating what was needed by those who lost everything.

Being myself fiery, I can say that the initiative to team up with kindred spirits to make sure the intentions were fulfilled has involved some defiance, but this is justified on the grounds of “pono” because people have needs that were not being addressed by the so-called relief agencies. Yes, sometimes, it is necessary to create alternatives to the formal pathways, and here is where fire can perhaps be appreciated. It is courageous and willing to take risks. It has initiative and leadership, and it has passion for what it believes is correct. If fire is weak, there will be more suffering because the neglect will be accepted without being fixed. Fire functions very well with similarly aligned fire. If the alignment is lacking, fire will either struggle to prevail or ignore the issue on the grounds that the energies are reserved for other battles.

If you related to any of the statements or feelings in the above paragraphs, you already have your finger on the pulse and can guestimate how much or how little fire is present in your constitutional make-up.

To understand this even further, we can ask, if you are fiery, what will provoke you to action, and what will you let pass? This provides further insight into values and how much mastery one has over oneself as well as what is truly important. Is the contentious issue personal, professional, political, religious?

The three fire signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Let’s take a common domestic issue. The important other has been unfaithful. Someone like Henry VIII, Aries Moon, will take this harder because the bloodline of the throne is, to the royal mind, critical. However, if independence is more important than heirs, then perhaps there is an easy-come, easy-go attitude. If statistics are to be trusted, then this example is more than likely to arise in one’s life experience so the question is the reaction. This will vary depending on what is valued the most: security, keeping the family together, love and attachment, trust, loyalty and fidelity, fear of what others will think, etc.

Next, let’s see what fire will confront. We have teams, such as sports where there is competition. We also have political battles over issues and elections. How passionately will one push a topic through all the obstacles of the opposition? How far will one go to win?

We also have academic and religious disagreements, some leading to fierce battles and even Inquisition-like risks. It is not unusual for someone who suffered acutely in a past life for adhering to one’s beliefs to be more cautious the next time around. Then, there may be an internal dilemma. The subconscious may feel strongly about something, but the conscious self is in favor of temperance, playing it safe. We have three selves, but the key to the past lives is in the feelings so unless we allow ourselves to feel, the key will not turn in the lock.

If you do not see yourself in any of the above, then most likely, you do not have a fire Moon. However, if you do have a fire Moon, then the next step is to use your imagination and creativity. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? How did this change by your teens? by early adulthood? by middle age?

Were there major interests you put aside in order to fulfill the expectations of your family or society? A young person with an Aries Moon may be wild and adventurous, but did one explore? Then, there are types of exploration as well as projections. For instance, Angelina Jolie may put her Aries energies into dare devil roles whereas Steve Jobs may have explored the outer realms of technology.

If one does not follow one’s bliss, there is a chunk of self that is put aside. We have a long list of excuses about why we do this.

All memory works through a process of association. However, we do not always recognize how this works. Do you have a favorite color or food? Is there a place you always wanted to visit? Is there something you saw in a film or learned in a history class that caught your attention.

I will give a little example from my own life. Around 1974-1975, I had an out of body experience in which I saw an event in a past life. Later, I had a dream in which someone told me different details about that very same past life. Some time later, I was at a beach party and several people commented, “Where is your husband?” I was never married in this lifetime, but they were referring to a group from a past life and there was an important missing person.

Rewinding to a decade earlier, I was engaged. We had a little routine that when my fiancé visited, we would play the Haydn Cello Concerto. When, he left, we would play my choice, the Boieldieu Harp Concerto. At that time, I had no direct connection with the harp, but I loved the music. This is the first movement of the concerto.

https://youtu.be/Mn9ZuOYzXE4

Roll forward to the mid-1990s when someone asked to meet me when visiting Santa Fe. She was performing the world premier of a new harp piece for the Santa Fe Desert Chorale. She was hosted by one of the patrons of the singers and invited me to her guest quarters to meet her harp. She played a piece by Bach, and tears rolled down my face. Imagine, I was sitting so close to the harp that I could touch it. This event was a private feast for the soul.

Gail and I became best friends and spent the holidays regressing each other into past lives and peeking into the future. We also facilitated sessions for countless students and patients. Neither Gail nor I were novices at the point when we met. She had been working with Virginia Satir and various harp healing groups, and I had already written a book on past life recalls called Shadows on the Soul, still unpublished after almost 40 years.

An avalanche of memories from countless previous lifetimes, some going back thousands of years, surfaced over our two decades of sharing in this lifetime. Since the altered state is timeless, it is difficult to move backwards or forwards without someone to guide the process.

The point is that no affinity or aversion is to ignored because each has a history. In the horoscope, one can see the areas of experienced that have been mastered and those that pose challenges . . . but this being long, perhaps it is the place to end. Clearly, to be fair, there must be sequels dealing with the other three elements.

Sep 12, 2023    Bardo

For those who have heard the term before, “bardo” normally conjures up questions about what happens in the afterlife. According to certain accounts, most people, not everyone, go through an intermediary period between “life” as we currently know it and the “afterlife” as we perhaps imagine it to be. This journey is typically said to last 49 days. With respect for the deceased, whether a family member, friend, or pet, I normally create an altar with flowers, statue, a candle, and sometimes a picture. I try to put aside my own feelings of helplessness and loss so as not to interfere with the journey from which reports are seldom delivered. Those who died on Maui on August 8th may be currently in the Bardo, and maybe some are still earthbound because their deaths were so unexpected. Hawaiians have held ceremonies for the departed, several different types of ceremonies, one for the ghosts and another to help the living let go of grief. These were typically held either on the shore or in the ocean on canoes, surfboards, and anything that will float.

Though there are many books on death and dying, the reality is that no accounts are verifiable. Yes, we may have complete faith in the accuracy by virtue of hypnotic regressions, entering into altered states of consciousness, listening to the accounts of those who have had near death experiences, and listening to what clairvoyants and psychics tell us, but beliefs and proof are different. While there is no reason to dismiss what we believe to be true, it is obvious that accounts vary tremendously so what is reasonable to expect for one person may not be the same for another.

I have seen ghosts from time-to-time so I feel certain they not only exist, but they may visit or choose to stay long-term because they are not aware they have died, have not passed through the Bardo, or they have chosen to stay out of attachment or service to the living.

There is a second meaning of the word bardo that resembles our use of the word “limbo” in that it describes a state of indetermination, not exactly a void but one in which activity is at a near standstill, and the way forward as well as the way back are unclear. Interestingly, this concept of limbo sometimes occurs in theological contexts in Western cultures. It is not the same as purgatory yet the conditions of existence are lacking definition.

As noted, we cannot verify what happens after our bodies cease to inhale and exhale. However, except for those who do not know what they believe, most people believe in an afterlife. We have all different notions of what that might be like, but one often accepted thesis is that our consciousness takes us to a state to which it has affinity. If one loves peace, the afterlife will be peaceful. We can only imagine what might be the case for those who neglected their souls while exploring the perks of being incarnate.

Love is a very strong bond and will attract those beings one has loved. I hope this includes many feathered and furry friends. Others are certain there is only energy without form in the afterlife so we might have trouble recognizing other beings unless retaining some of the consciousness of at least the bardo state.

If you are expecting me to provide details about the afterlife, you will be disappointed. I can share what I believe to be true; but, as noted, there will not be any way to corroborate anything. This said, I have clearly heard voices speaking to me from the other side. I have also seen a very wide variety of auras of both pets and people. For example, when my first Akita died, the other two dogs did not seem as upset as I was. I asked his daughter, Runeka, if she missed her father. She looked at me like I was a bit bonkers, and then I saw a pink aura with a green center jump onto my bed, something that was not permitted when Keoki was alive. He had big issues about this, but I had a waterbed and he had strong toenails. After this, whenever I picked up the car keys, I saw the pink cloud jump through the window and position itself on the passenger seat. Morrnah corroborated this when asking one day which one of my dogs died. I said, Keoki. She knew him well because she had visited often, and he had attended the retreat mentioned in the last post. That’s when Morrnah told me that Keoki said it was his pleasure to stay with me until the end of time. Obviously, that suited me just fine also.

This may be a little hard to see, but there are actually three white Akitas and a wolf in this picture, taken in Santa Fe quite a few years ago. The third Akita and Brio, the wolf, are way in the back where there is a bright light (left) in front of the trees, maybe actually the aura?

In a world in which time seems like a reality, limbo is an awkward state. In many cases, we cannot go back, except with our memories held by the lunar self that is a companion throughout an endless series of incarnations. However, sometimes, like this time with six planets retrograding, we also cannot go forward. We might have a vague idea of the future and even believe it is a continuation of the past, but sometimes, it is so misty that we cannot really see ahead. This is perhaps the best time to go within, listen to the inner self. The self has both explanations of the past and a sense of destiny, albeit the two are not at the same frequency levels. So, we have to traverse uncharted territories to access what is hidden.

Before incarnation, we drink the waters of Lethe and forget. For many, “oblivion” defines most of the incarnation; but for those who distance themselves from distraction, little bits and pieces tend to fall into place. If we have a sound spiritual practice, the goals of life may reveal themselves, a surprise to some but usually very familiar once the mist is dispersed.

The present world situation is precarious. There are fires and floods, hurricanes and volcanic eruptions, sudden deaths and chronic illnesses . . . and with this comes uncertainty and all the challenges thereof. There have already been many losses of life, possessions, homes, and jobs. With this goes insecurity, uncertainty, and limbo!

I do not have a magic wand, but there is a story from Tibet about a poet saint who misused some talents in his early life. He worried about his karma and sought a teacher who was wise enough to save him a future of miserable incarnations. Marpa turned out to be quite strict. Milarepa became a monk and begged for food. Late in life, his bowl broke, and he thought, “Now my begging bowl has become a great guru. It just taught me the impermanence of all things.”

Not all of us can release our attachments, but when Alexander the Great was dying, he instructed his soldiers to leave his hands outside the coffin so all would know that he was not only born empty handed, but he left without anything . . . despite his vast conquests.

Attachments in my view have value. We appreciate the sound of a beautiful musical instrument or works of art. We appreciate the companionship and sharing of friends and family. We appreciate the books that contain the knowledge of our forbears, often going back centuries and millennia. However, what we take with us when we leave is our merit and wisdom.

After studying countless religions and spiritual teachings, I am convinced that bonds are important. It remains to be seen whether we can escape the wheel of rebirth through detachment. I doubt it. I think that when we are at the point that everything is clear and our hearts and souls are full of compassion, we will forego the opportunity to escape and return to help others. At this time, we need such souls in great numbers because the suffering exceeds anything we have known in the past. Yes, there have been wars. There have been horrible diseases like leprosy and now Lyme and many kinds of toxic overloads. We have never, however, seen so many cataclysms and variety of threats at one time. If we stand together and refuse to surrender our integrity, then at least we will have one remaining asset that will put us in good standing on the other side of the veil.

Sep 9, 2023    Various Updates

With six planets retrograde, it is a time for review and resetting our compasses so that when the opportunity to move forward presents itself, we will be heading the right direction. We can interpret this simple advice on any level that seems pertinent: choices we make in life, information that needs to be reprocessed, dissatisfaction that can only be resolved through serious changes in policy and trajectories.

At the risk of repeating what many have heard from various sources, I might suggest that what has happened on Maui is not going unnoticed; but before saying more, I would like to thank those who donated to my small fundraising. Four boxes of adaptogens arrived on Maui by FedEx last Thursday, and requests for more herbs are pouring in. The situation is not just extremely sad but deeply disturbing. It will not be possible to hide the truth. When people have to choose between their heritage and families and their job security, it is pretty obvious where the loyalties will be strongest.

In meantime, I have committed to sending as much as possible to those who want herbs. This includes, unfortunately, not just formulas but bulk herbs, grinders, packaging supplies, and all kinds of adjunctive ingredients like oils and beeswax for ointments, jars, sterilizing equipment . . . in short, replacements for all that was lost.

There are many projects consuming my time and energy that I feel to mention. The first is a collaboration with someone who is devoted to the work of the late Morrnah Simeona, kahuna la’paau, who played a very important role in my life. I have written about her from time to time, but what I want to share today, partly at the encouragement of a few subscribers who have urged me to tell more personal stories, is an event that took place on the Big Island of Hawaii in the late 70s.

There was a retreat in Punalu’u, the far south of the island. About 175 people attended. Morrnah was, of course, the star. One of the other speakers was Will Kyselka from the Bishop Museum who was the resident expert on Hawaiian astronomy. He gave a talk that ended at 9:00 pm, then we star gazed for a while before heading for observatory at the top of Mauna Kea. There were a lot of cars and we returned quite late at night via Hilo, meaning the ocean was on our left as we returned to Punalu’u. I was driving and Morrnah was in the front seat next to me, two others in the back. We saw a single green beam coming straight down from the sky, quite far out over the ocean and very high. None of us had seen this before. Suddenly, the car jolted, and I heard a screech of metal hitting the pavement. My left rear tire had been slashed like it was cut with a machete. I was down on the rim. No one was injured, but you can imagine what happened when I brought the tire for repair. “Ingrid, how did this happen?” “Well, you see, there was this green beam . . .” “Yeah, yeah, but what did you do to tire?”

Since many of us had been to the observatory, we had a sort of caravan of cars . . . oh, and for the record, my car was blue. No other cars were affected.

I think the point should now be obvious. This technology has been around for decades. I heard it was used during the war in Vietnam. All of this is coming out now, and I wanted to assure those who have been writing me privately, that while I never saw this when I was in Vietnam, I definitely saw it on the Big Island. Moreover, the source was aerial. Obviously, that is all I say with certainty.

The second project is much more time consuming. It involves preparing a book on mold for publication and developing courses on mold remediation, treatments patients can self-administer, and training for interested practitioners. It is a very big project and there are several people helping.

While we feel for the tragedies occurring, it is not just Maui that has suffered, but there have been devastating fires and floods in almost countless places. Some sources say that as many as 100 million Chinese are homeless. Mountains are breaking and falling into towns and rivers in parts of the Himalayas. Frankfurt Airport was flooded. There are terrible earthquakes and hurricanes all over our beloved Planet, and it is time to assess why. In the meantime, mold will become an ever increasing issue so it has been given priority.

We also are considering adding podcasts to the Substack posts and might use mold as test of subscriber interest.

Some of the other projects involve upgrades. Our hosting has deteriorated. There are actually exactly 50 websites that are live and several suffered during migration so this exasperating task is taking up some time and energy. You will see very big improvements soon. In the meantime, if you see errors, please let me know.

Aug 29, 2023    Adaptogens

After mentioning the herbs going to Maui, several people wrote about their own fatigue, stamina, and general health issues. I thought I would explain in a little more detail what the strategy is here.

Going back to 1972, I invested time and energy into what I called “The Cause of Disease”; and this eventually resulted in a book (out of print) and several pdfs, lectures, and even some master classes.

The astrological rule is that if something is not shown in the horoscope, it will not happen. If the potential is there, it will happen (1) when triggered, but only (2) if we hit the point where the proverbial straw breaks the camel’s back.

Worded an entirely different way, stress is cumulative. We are all vulnerable but not precisely in the same ways. For instance, some people find security in ownership and others in relationships or employment. Of course, we are all sensitive to all of these issues, but what is a 45 on the scale for one person could be an 85 for another. On the emotional Richter scale, many people on Maui have hit critical mass. They are not only surrounded by loss and devastation, but even the water is no longer potable. They cannot trust the various agencies that have stepped in, and many questions remain unanswered. They do not know if more survivors will be found, if more bodies will be found and identified, if their losses will be covered by insurance, if anything can ever return to “normal” nor even if what has happened is a singular event or the beginning of the end.

Adrenal secretions occur below the threshold of consciousness. If you believe in spirit guides, auras, and/or intuition, then we realize that an event can be anticipated. In a split second, the body is flooded with adrenaline that provides the emergency power needed to escape or perhaps adjust. We have what is called a fight or flight mechanism. If logic were to prevail, we would only fight if the odds favored winning. Otherwise, flight is wiser, but the spin of the chakras is established when we incarnate so there are basically two generic responses to risks, but we can add fright as a third possibility. It is more paralytic in that the nervous system seems to go silent so there is no action, rather only stillness, like a canary that does not move when a cat comes into the room.

When completely overwhelmed, shock may bring action to a halt. You can think of it as fright carried to the next higher octave. It is protective to a point, but on the outer level, there is inertia.

To make this as practical as possible, when I was first approached by a long-time subscriber to connect with a relief effort on Maui, I was thinking primarily of rescue workers in hazmat suits. On top of the emotional devastation, they would be working against the odds and putting in very long hours while sweltering in attire that is not suitable to the usual balmy breezes and relaxed life style of Hawaii. What these people most needed was stamina because hope can sometimes be very time sensitive so finding survivors no doubt meant very long shifts, often without adequate hydration or nutrition.

My Yang Elixir was formulated to extend the coping margins so that there would be sufficient endurance to carry on with the tasks. There are, of course, priorities. First, put out the fires, then look for survivors, organize relief, and ultimately do the best one can to rebuild lives and community.

As I listened to the concerns of those on the ground, I realized that there were many people who were utterly incapacitated. Some were elderly, some had suffered immense smoke inhalation, some had been without medications for days and now weeks, and some were used to taking local herbs provided by kahuna la’paaus. So, we added the Yin Elixir to the list.

Though I do have some herbs in my formulas that are sourced from Hawaii, few matched the exact needs that were being described to me. However, we decided to add ginseng and ashwagandha to the list.

Not everything I write is instantly understood, but ginseng is a very important adaptogen. To qualify as an adaptogenic herb, the herb must be utterly non-toxic, safe to consume over the long haul, but most importantly, it must extend the ability to cope with stress. This requires flexibility and adaptability, which can be both physical and psychological.

In Ayurveda, there are additional nuances that we find among the rasayana herbs. These herbs are described as contributing to health and longevity, meaning they support regeneration. Perhaps the most famous of the rasayana herbs is ashwagandha. It has the added value of preventing an increase in cortisol so we have included it in the shipment which is going out tomorrow. All rasayana herbs happen also to be antioxidants, but not all are adaptogens. Ashwagandha is, however, an adaptogen.

My history with these concepts began in my Santa Fe days when worried individuals were shipping herbs to friends and family deployed to combat zones. Some of these people were on ships, but all had watches so several very concerned parents sent enough herbs to supply all those on duty since a single failure to detect danger obviously puts many at risk. In short, I now have more than 40 years of experience with these herbs and am making sure that those with boots on the ground know who needs which formula or herb.

In the days to follow, we will try to conquer some of the issues related to inhalation of smoke and toxic fumes. Though I have not seen any data yet, what burned or melted must have released a horrific amount of vapor, probably equivalent to countless amalgam fillings. In short, I am committed to helping as best I can, and this will no doubt be an ongoing project. If you want to contribute to this effort, please use the button below.

Aug 25, 2023    Heaven and Hell

This is the 108th post. 108 is a very special number with diverse explanations for its significance. There are 108 beads on the malas used by the faithful in both Hinduism and Buddhism. The number has vast significance, but that can wait for another day. Risky as it is, I want to draw parallels between a tragedy few of us studied in history and the recent events on Maui. I don’t really know where to start so bear with me a bit.

I have promised to write about the history of reincarnation in Western religions. Some of us are aware that the Greeks had a philosophy of transmigration of souls which is similar, but not identical, to the twin doctrines of karma and reincarnation. These precepts were removed from official Catholic theology at the Fifth Ecumenical Council in 553. The Council was assembled by the decree of Emperor Justinian, against the wishes of Pope Vigilius. However, there was a humble group of Cathars who held fast to the traditional beliefs. Their origins are a bit obscure, but in the early 13th century, they lived mostly in south of France, Languedoc being one of the most famous enclaves.

Pope Innocent III launched a Crusade against the Cathars whose name comes from the Greek word katharos, meaning pure. Men, women, and children were slaughtered or burned alive. It was, at the time, the worst case of religious genocide in “Christian” history.

I remember parts of my life as a Cathar. Recall came gradually and spanned several decades. Though my French teacher in high school was Parisian, I always spoke French with a distinct accent that was easily identified as that of the south. In the 70s, I found a book on the history of reincarnation in Christianity, but it vanished. I suspected my mother aided its disappearance, but she claimed innocence.

Little by little, I started to remember past lives. One was as the daughter of Empress Theodora, wife of Justinian. I was mostly out of public view, but vehemently opposed the intrusion of politics into religion. This drama has, of course, played out in many incarnations. Ultimately, I saw myself on a hill overlooking Languedoc. I was eight months pregnant and could not bear the idea of destroying my unborn child so I escaped via Switzerland. That was a more than 800 years ago, but there is no time on the soul level so whether these events took place centuries ago or last week, it is the same.

The parallel I see to the situation in Maui is indeed painful because people were trapped, blocked from escaping, and many, including children, died. We do not have all the facts yet, but the clash between official actions and safety is, tragically, transparent.

Sadly, similar events are happening elsewhere, not just Maui. I have had private discussions with friends and colleagues. There are a few details I feel can be shared. Sometimes, I sit on understandings for a long time before discussing the details, but many people who have studied some astrology know the name Isabel Hickey. She visited the Big Island of Hawaii in the late 70s. I met her at the airport and played tourist guide, introduced her to my friends and to my mother. In short, we spent a lot of time together over the course of her stay. She is the one who taught me a technique for remembering past lives; and, over the years, I have added my own tweaks to this method. One day, she remarked, “the AMA is the reincarnation of the Inquisition.” I was quite shocked when she said that because I was still at that stage in my own pursuits where I believed science was at the core of what passes for modern medicine. Admittedly, I was not, at the time, on the first rung of the ladder. I had scaled far enough to hesitate when recommendations were made, but I had yet to see the dark side.

One can only control if there is compliance. Many factors can influence whether or not people will march to the drum beats: fear, mistrust, dissidence, vehement opposition, and a feeling perhaps that a point comes when there is nothing more to lose.

Substack readers probably know that censorship and disinformation are pervasive, but we do not know all the particulars about what is hidden from sight . . . nor do we necessarily know why truth is hidden.

Returning then to karma and reincarnation, I recently stumbled on a claim by a rabbi that Judaism also had a belief in reincarnation, but it was removed from the public view, and its study became an esoteric pursuit. In a kind of a way, I knew this because a couple of slip ups occurred in the editing of the Bible, but I did not understand the details behind hiding the doctrine.

It is thus fair to ask why this is so important that I have spent several incarnations fussing over karma and reincarnation. The two most important responses would be that we can appreciate our inherent immortality through acceptance of this reincarnation; but more importantly, the doctrine of karma is closely connected to ethics or what the Hawaiians call “pono”. We are encouraged to do what is right if we know there will be consequences for failing to do so.

For the record, I do not understand the law of karma in terms of “an eye for an eye” but rather as an educational tool that forces alignment with divine will.

This brings me to the other subject I have been discussing privately. In our lifetime, Pluto has appeared to be transiting inside the orbit of Neptune so they have had a rather consistent separation of roughly 60 degrees, a sextile aspect in the language of astrologers, throughout many decades.

There have been many times since our birth that another planet or planets made a 150 degree aspect, quincunx, to Neptune and Pluto. This is a little complicated for non-astrologers, but the natural angle of a quincunx is to the sixth house cusp, work and health, or the eighth house cusp, jointly held resources and death. I know that this concept will fly right by some readers, but try to bear with me a bit.

Pluto is the Lord of Hades, and Neptune is not just the God of the Sea, but the mystic, the one who reveals the wisdom of our souls and who inspires us to live up to our highest ideals. When a planet moves into quincunx with Neptune and Pluto, the two planets in sextile, a choice must be made between heaven and hell. This is what it boils down to even if there are many nuances.

Going back to July, Venus and Mars were making two quincunxes, called a “Y” or yod or “finger of God” formation, with Neptune and Pluto. Then, as the Sun was going into Leo (sidereal astrology), Venus retrograded and stayed in that pivotal position for a longer than usual time. Though Venus is generally regarded as a benefic planet, it can be covetous and greedy. We saw what appears to be a land grab attempt and a pathetic offer of $700 per household to tide people over their incredible losses. This is not, however, the end of the story because Venus will turn direct and return to the quincunx position in October . . . at which time Neptune and Pluto will both be retrograde so there are more chapters to this saga.

I apologize for the astrolese. All the motions of planets are cyclical. One definition of astrology is that it is the science of manifestation in time. The beauty of a yod is that when mistakes are made, there is a chance to correcting the course. We can choose heaven over hell . . . even if addicted to the abuse of power. Obviously, the world will quickly become a better and safer place when we chose the path of alignment with Divine Harmony.

Relief workers in Hawaii have asked for herbs to help those who have been impacted by the disaster. If you would like to donate to this effort, you can contribute whatever is most comfortable to you. 100% of what is donated will be shipped to Maui at my expense. I have also asked the lab to give the maximum discount possible so that more people can benefit.

Aug 20, 2023    "Pono"

Though much of the news we are getting right now pertains to the Maui fire, similar events have been going on elsewhere, notably the Greek islands of Corfu and Rhodes, North Africa, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Turkey. In addition, there are evacuation notices in Washington State, where I live, and parts of British Columbia and Oregon. This is not a complete list. Hundreds of thousands of people have been told to leave their homes.

Thirty years ago, I was living in a tiny village north of Santa Fe called Cundiyo, very near the pilgrimage town of Chimayo. There was a forest fire, very close to our home. It was extremely well managed, and there was excellent communication between the fire fighters and residents. Helicopters were dropping buckets of water, and we were invited to don protective gear and observe the measures being used to contain the fire. There was an informational program in which we were shown the methods being used: ditch digging, aerial spraying of fire retardants, and various uses of water dispersed from the air or from hoses on the ground. We had the feeling that despite the very obvious danger, our homes and lives were respected and that every precaution necessary had been deployed. Out of state firefighters, including many indigenous persons who were highly regarded for their unique skills, arrived in the hundreds, perhaps thousands.

Because of the excellent organization and coordinated efforts, no lives or homes were lost. This said, trees burned and animals ran for their lives, many perhaps leaving little ones to die alone. It was a tragedy, but not of the scale of Lahaina or many of the fires raging today.

In contrast, there can be little doubt but that the response in Maui was disastrous. Incompetence seems like a truly feeble word. “Criminally negligent” might be closer to what has been experienced, and we grieve for the people and pets who perished, for all those who lost loved ones and homes, for the destruction of the legacy of the Hawaiian monarchy, and for the abysmal response of officialdom, from the local level to the White House.

At the same time, the aloha spirit and allegiance to “pono” have exhibited how people can pull together when the going gets tough. “Pono” has no exact translation, but it means something like acting in a correct manner in order to make everything right. When we act responsibly and with honorable intent, we bring harmony where there is discord. Karma is extinguished because motivations are pure and actions are constructive. The people of Lahaina have been modeling “pono” in the face of bureaucratic obstructions and crying needs for the essentials needed for survival.

In the meantime, there have been stories and theories about what happened and why. To be entirely honest, I am not satisfied with the official explanations. I could deploy all my planets in Virgo to pick at the details, but the first issue I have is with the boats that were a significant distance from shore and yet caught on fire. Obviously, this is the tip of the iceberg, but even with very strong winds and so on and so forth, my incredulity button is bright red.

Others are reporting their theories of what happened and why, many alleging sinister intent, but my focus is always on how best to help the living. I am in contact with boots on the ground and have proposed relief to people and pets that are hospitalized or incapacitated. My suggestions are to begin with very deep HEPA vacuuming so as to remove particulates to the maximum extent possible. Then air filtration can be provided. Obviously, there are severe respiratory issues but the most vulnerable should be addressed first. This should be followed by support for the respiratory system and whatever injuries have been sustained or aggravated by the stress.

The second major suggestion involves the crews in hazmat suits. They are lacking fresh air, sweltering, and are emotionally and physically strained to the max. They need support so that they can hold up under the strain. My lab can produce the adaptogens and adrenal formulas needed. When I have a response from Hawaii, I will be asking those who can afford it to donate directly to those providing the relief. These are mostly local initiatives, and they have a workaround for delivery that is reliable.

Anyone with suggestions can write me directly. In the meantime, I hope that as we see the spirit of the Hawaiian people, we will be inspired to build a healthier world for all.

Aug 17, 2023    Life After Death

This post will be perhaps the most personal I have ever written, but if I do not tell the story with sufficient detail, it will not provide the depth of understanding I hope to encourage.

Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt and I have known each other since our days in Santa Fe. When I moved to the Pacific Northwest, he invited me to speak at a conference he was hosting in Seattle. One of his patients had volunteered to help with the audio-visual part of the presentations, and there was a small dinner party at the home of another patient after the conference.

Having moved in various circles for decades, I should start by saying that I know many people who are much more psychic than I am, but that night, I was extremely open. Bob was sitting on the hearth, his back to the fire. I saw him at Waterloo delivering an urgent message to the Duke of Wellington. There were no particular details except perhaps the suggestion that he was entrusted with sensitive information. As fate would have it, Bob was distantly related to Wellington on his father’s side of the family.

The drive home from Seattle took nearly two hours, and I was happy to see my bed after a long day on the other side of Puget Sound. Bob phoned to make sure I had arrived safely, and that night I had one of the most detailed dreams of my life.

A couple of points stood out. The first was that there were two unresolved issues that were related to whether or not Bob would survive. The other was that Bob liked simplicity and was enthralled by the capacity to transform one reality into another, a kind of magic requiring an unusual skill.

I felt that sharing the details would be important, but it became apparent that he was not clear about the two obstacles to recovery. In the dream, he was wearing a white kimono and was floating in the sky, perhaps seventy feet above the ground, maybe higher. He reached under the fold of the kimono with his right hand and pulled out a black raven and released it. Continuing the dream, he saw that I was fascinated so he reached with the other hand and pulled out another raven with the left hand.

Though he had studied psychology with one of the foremost professors in the field, he was unable to make sense of the inferences in the dream.

Some days later, five of us met at the apartment where the dinner party had taken place. Bob was bleeding, but I had gone to Chinatown before joining the others. It happened that I had some Yunnan Baiyao in the car and was able to stop the bleeding.

We all went to a performance at the Seattle Opera. Norma is one of my favorite operas. The lyrics and issues are immortal. Whether staged in a Druid forest or more contemporary setting, the personal and political complexities are as relevant today as hundreds of years ago. Besides, the music is absolutely divine.

https://youtu.be/N9-VLJNWByM

It must be obvious that an invisible force was at work, but I did something I came to regret. I told Bob that, as a practitioner, I could not be involved with a patient even if his primary care physician was Dr. Klinghardt. Yes, “the moving finger writes . . .”

To make a long story short, I did accompany Bob on visits to countless psychics and healers, but we never seemed to come close to discovering the significance of the ravens. Then, a patient in Austria had a dream about Bob and phoned me with an urgent message, the gist of which was a careless remark by a family member that was deeply wounding. Finally, a story emerged, obviously very hurtful, but it was something that could be addressed consciously once nudged.

Sad to say, the secret of the other raven was never revealed.

In those days, I was traveling back and forth to Europe where I was consulting in cancer clinics, mainly in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Bob would sometimes leave Seattle at 2:00 am to pick me up and take me to the airport. I told him that driving at night on icy roads did not feel safe to me, but he insisted that he enjoyed the long chats to and from the airport.

On one occasion, he was a little flustered and asked, “What is the source of your deep faith?” I asked him questions about his beliefs, but he insisted that nothing he ever heard in church generated the level of confidence I had. In particular, he wanted to know why I was so certain there is life after death.

These questions and the underlying feelings are very deep, and I could not escape the sense that on some level, he knew he was not going to heal. However, he made some rules about what could and could not be discussed. His command of language was incredible. He always had exactly the right word at the right time, and there was never any ambiguity; but if I asked a direct question, the answer was often that he could not remember. He insisted he was trying to remember, but he simply could not find the missing pieces.

He was the guinea pig for a demonstration of a cutting edge healing technique that was previewed at a retreat lasting a week. He returned trashed and very fragile. I nursed him for several days. He did not want to be left alone for even a second. I ended up putting a massage table in the kitchen so he would not feel abandoned while I prepared special foods for him.

When he returned to Seattle, he had some radiologic exams. He knew my beliefs on this. There was a radiology clinic near where I was consulting in Bavaria. I told the doctor that the patients always went into a tailspin after the exposures, and I could not stabilize them in a realistic amount of time. I was spending three weeks in Europe on each trip. I understand the need to know; but the risks, in my mind, outweighed the gains. I can feel cancer in the aura so I never felt the need for x-rays or MRIs, but I realize this is not tangible enough for doctors.

It was shortly after this that I stumbled on Dr. Mary’s Monkey. This explained the observations I had been making, but I was still not able to convince doctors to avoid the risks associated with the technology.

A few days after the diagnostic tests, I got a phone call that Bob was in the hospital. I grabbed some sacred ash and frankincense and jumped in the car. He had chosen to admit himself to a hospital near the apartment where we had frequently gathered. He was in a coma, but I anointed him, especially his feet because he always said “Bob’s feet love Ingrid’s hands.”

Visiting hours were over and we were forced to leave. We went to the nearby apartment and prayed. He had crossed over minutes after we left.

One evening, I was looking at my own blood under the microscope, and I heard Bob’s voice clear as day: “Look a little more to the right.” There, I saw the mold that I had been battling since moving into a new house that flooded a few days after moving in. Bob had accompanied me to the mold analysis laboratory, to the various meetings with lawyers and court hearings, but we had never seen the mold in the blood. There it was, and it was a perfect match to what we had seen in the laboratory.

After this, he appeared often as if to confirm that the convictions I had about the afterlife and our inherent immortality had helped him to navigate the shift in dimensions.

I know how important this information is to many others. I have seen ghosts from time to time, but it is not just our human companions who often remain with us but also our feathered and furry friends.

Aug 15, 2023    Angelic Protection

Thank you for sharing the last post on Lahaina. A few friends have been in touch. Depending where one was at the time, experiences differed significantly. Many people and pets are still missing. Hopefully, some are simply cut off from communications; but unfortunately, many are believed to have perished. Remarkably, both the church and revered banyan tree survived, the church without harm, the banyan tree with wounds from which it is expected to recover.

There are events in life from which we do not recover. Survivors cannot usually contact those on the other side of the veil, but this is not entirely true because some who have crossed over make the effort to connect with those they love. I have had this experience; and thus, rare as it is, it is proof of our ultimate immortality.

This is the time when we seek inner peace to guide us through sorrows and losses. I have always loved this particular aria, perhaps one of the most beautiful ever written, so I wanted to share it with subscribers.

As always, choosing one performance was difficult, but I think the role belonged to Leontyne Price whose sensitivity reveals the opening to heaven.

People are in shock over the recent calamities on the island of Maui. Our hearts and prayers float over the ocean; let our tears put out the fires that have ravaged the homes and the dreams of the people of the island.

Aug 12, 2023    Perseus

We are at the peak of the annual Perseid meteor shower. Depending on the location, you may see 60 meteors per hour as we pass through the comet. The meteors will appear to descend straight down from the constellation Perseus, so named after the hero of Greek mythology who rescued Andromeda. This is a precious place where I sometimes travel out of body to visit, often passing by the constellations where we will be seeing the action in the night sky.

Like many legends, the Perseus story is a compelling combination of prophecy, drama, and suspense. Technically, Perseus was a demigod, the son of the immortal Zeus and Princess Danae whose father, the king of Argos, had been told that his daughter’s son would slay him. Legend says that Princess Danae was locked in a bronze dungeon that opened to the sky. Zeus managed to slip through, and when King Acrisius realized that his daughter had given birth to a son, he locked both mother and son in a wooden chest and threw the chest in the ocean. Zeus had a word with Poseidon to protect his son. The sea was calmed and Danae and Perseus washed up on the island of Seriphos where they stayed for many years.

Perseus matured into a strong man who boasted that he could kill the dreaded Medusa, one of the Gorgon sisters whose hair was made of venomous snakes. Making a long story short, he does slay Medusa and later a sea monster for which he was promised the hand in marriage of Andromeda. The betrothal was contested and Perseus turned his rival to stone.

The prophecy of the Delphi Oracle was fulfilled during an athletic event in which Perseus threw a discus that went off course and killed his grandfather. He was ashamed and did not take the throne but rather offered it to his uncle. He left Argos and became king of Mycenae. When he died of old age, he was lifted into the sky to join Andromeda and her mother Cassiopeia. There he has remained for eternity.

Here is the story in a nutshell:

https://youtu.be/qTwnVxWm0sM

What we can expect with this influence is an intense effort to destroy the monsters in our psyches and the perpetrators of sorrow on our Planet. Of course, one can also look upwards to see glowing rocks that will burn out before impacting Earth. Today and tomorrow are the optimal times for viewing.

This music is interesting and original . . . and perhaps a little encouraging to those who aspire to compose something with immortal characteristics.

Aug 4, 2023    A Touch of Optimism

As this post is being drafted, we are expecting to reach a major milestone with subscriptions. I will hit “send” when the 1000th subscriber signs on!

Hardly anyone could argue that the current world situation is either blissful or sustainable . . . so a “A Touch of Optimism” seems almost anachronistic. There are several reasons however for this optimism; but to connect the dots as thoroughly as possible, we can start with entrainment and sound.

There are many competing theories of Creation, but the vast majority of people seem to believe in a Supreme Source that is the cause of all that is. There are several very important concepts relating to cause. First, there is a force that initiates the manifestation of something out of unconditioned existence. We can attribute the cascade of consequences to thought or to vibration. Source might have intention and project that intention in a manner that externalizes an interior possibility. The externalization is causal and has frequency and sound. It is not just the strongest force in the Universe, but also the Ultimate Power so everything will ultimately entrain with this force which means that whatever is not in harmony will eventually be drawn into harmony. In short, we are guaranteed a happy outcome even if some take longer than others to align.

Just for the record, whenever anything is not in harmony, there will be dissonance and consequences. In a way, this is what karma is. Karma teaches us to choose harmony over discord. So, there will be as much karma as needed to achieve the end result. Karma is therefore not a punishment but rather the result of being out of alignment. This axiom can be applied to any thought or deed or to such simple matters as the stress on the steering system when tires are out of alignment. The same is true if we consider a musical instrument. If we have a lovely marimba made of tamarind wood, but we replace one piece of tamarind with some plywood, the result will be a musical disaster. We transform the disaster by using a correct replacement.

In life, we adjust our behavior to achieve the most harmonious alignment possible.

The second reason for my “Touch of Optimism” is much more personal. People have all kinds of ways of acquiring understanding; but, in today’s world, there is so much manipulation of information that we are well advised to trust our own experiences rather than to search the web for reliable input.

In my case, since at least the age of four, I have had numerous experiences that took place in realms that are not familiar to others. One of the more important out of body journeys was to Antares. I have mentioned this on a number of occasions, but what would be consoling to many is to understand the relationships between our Earth and other worlds. Lady Gaia is the incarnation of a being who previously lived on Antares and She is still much beloved by Antareans. They have therefore organized Her rescue. My understanding is that repairs will begin with the ozone layer and then the highly toxic superfunds. Much of this takes place in the first weeks of landing; but the entire purification and reclamation of our Planet will take only about six months. There are well over 100 space ships fully equipped to restore the Earth to its natural pristine state.

The details were shown to me by a guide when I visited Antares. Using their advanced technology, the travel time between Antares and Earth is eight minutes. My feeling was that the rescue would take place either when the stage is set for a formal invitation or when the crisis is so severe that intervention becomes essential.

As many have noted, there are factions among us who do not want to relinquish their control; but their mismanagement is beyond dispute. All rational minds realize that the motivations and actions of these groups have been detrimental to the safety of all kingdoms of Nature, not just to humans. The air and water are polluted. Our food is substandard and lacking the nutrients and vitality needed. People have not learned to get along with each other. Wherever we look, we see abuse of power. So, it is to be expected that those who have power will not relinquish it simply because their abuses have become public knowledge. They will use their entire bag of tricks to stay in power, including staging false flags and fake invasions.

The benign forces are not oblivious to what is happening, but they are reluctant to intervene. Humanity could decide to set matters right . . . or Lady Gaia Herself could react to what is imperiling Her . . . or the Antareans could come to Her rescue which is what I foresee happening.

No one should believe me just because I am recounting a personal understanding based on an out of body experience. However, if there is logic that appeals to your soul and psyche, please feel free to share this idea with others.

Jul 29, 2023    Music

As you all know, I grew up in a home in which my mother played the piano every day. Her brother and my late cousin played more or less the same repertoire and in a very similar style. Both parents were also folk dancers, and I can remember going to festivals as early as four years of age. There were many milestones in the evolution of my understanding of music.

At the Musée de l'Homme, there was a fascinating display of different cultural divisions of the octave. I went back to the museum every day for several days while visiting Paris en route to India in 1968. I was driving and had a shortwave radio installed in the Land Rover so was able to listen to music from almost anywhere in the world, but particularly in the countries along my route. The music in Italy was, of course, all very familiar and quite wonderful; but Greece was truly exciting. I loved the instruments, rhythms, melodies, and dancing. In Istanbul, there was a dramatic shift from “normal” to my ears to foreign. It goes without saying that the cuisine also changed and pushed my curiosity to new frontiers: yoghurt, lentils, and spices just increased in prominence the further East I got. So did the exotic rhythms and different instruments. People are generally very proud of their cultures and eager to share them with interested visitors to their countries. I attended numerous small family recitals as well as public performances. It was very clear that what is normal to my ears — and taste buds — is exotic to people of other ethnicities and vice versa. People clearly love their own cultures, and this was seen very easily by the deeply moved and enthusiastic audience in Bahrain.

Or, see the crowd’s reaction to this Israeli favorite.

Most of us have music preferences so nothing I could possibly post on this subject would knock your socks off, but what is interesting are the next two milestones in my personal journey.

I saw music therapy as it was used by a number of different practitioners with backgrounds as psychotherapists, professional musicians, massage therapists, and holistic healers of one variety or another. The question was how the therapy works. First, a distinction had to be made between sound therapy and music therapy. There are theories that different bodily tissues or organs respond to particular frequencies of sound. I have experienced sound therapy as a client, observed it with other clients, read numerous books on the subject, and have no doubt but that from the vantage point of science, there is something to explore; but, in the right hands, music therapy is really powerful.

Patterns play a very important role in the work of an astrologer. Every horoscope is different, and there is a sort of chemistry between planets that expresses in every major area of our lives, but not all patterns are active simultaneously. Some are in a state of latency but can be activated by resonance with a memory or event in Time and Space. Music also has patterns and magic occurs when a personal pattern is triggered by music. This is the basis for the awakening of dormant memories, and the ability to explore the landscape of the psyche. Think of music as the key to the lock. The rest is revealed by prompting the investigation of what normally is outside the realm of consciousness.

Once I started to write on this subject, back in the early 80s, I bought every book I could find on music and culture, music and psychology, music and the brain, and music as a trigger to memory. Unexpectedly, buried in the dozens and dozens of books, there were references dating back to Aristotle and perhaps earlier, to music as the shaper of civilization. There are many derivatives of such theories, one of the more popular ones in our present time being the arguments in favor of Verdi tuning, insisting that the current tuning is a Nazi conspiracy to undermine society. This is not probably straight fact, but there was no single standard for tuning, i.e., A=440Hz, until 1955. There are all kinds of erudite explanations for this decision, none of which seem to relate to Hitler’s minister of propaganda.

The voice has registers related to the larynx and when, for instance, if a tenor has to go from one register to the next to hit a high note, he might be in peril of screeching. So, I am not going to argue about 440 Hz vs 432 Hz tuning except to say that Verdi understood the voice and wrote music that can be sung with the voices people have. The end of the selection here is from Verdi, but it would be even more beautiful in 432 Hz tuning. In short, it doesn’t matter whether there was a conspiracy or an international agreement to standardize tuning, what matters is whether the voice handles the demands better at 432 Hz, and I will maintain that this would be the case, due to the larynx, not politics.

https://youtu.be/03cEasddfC8

For the record, except for music with hints of pentatonic influences, I have never found pieces to be suggestive. If music sounds calamitous to the ears, the effect on the psyche may or may not have a similar impact. The unconscious seems to listen in unique ways that vary from moment to moment.

Folks, I was unable to upgrade my computer. It was basically too old. I had to replace it and now have to install many programs and migrate data. I will be back to normal in another week or two. Please be patient! This particular post was written months ago but not sent. Consider it a token of my commitment to continue my Substack endeavor.

Jul 23, 2023    Patience!

My apologies for the hiatus. I promised to devote the 100th post on Substack to the history of reincarnation in Western civilization. This is a subject very dear to me since the doctrine was part of esoteric Judaism and early Christianity. The Fifth Ecumenical Council was held in Constantinople during the reign of Emperor Justinian. The Pope declined to attend, but over 150 bishops participated, none, however, from Italy. This is a big story; and I want to tell it very carefully, but I have had a number of different computer issues for almost a month. All my Substack files are on a separate drive that is not displaying anything at the moment. I hope to resolve this shortly.

Rest assured that everything will regain its normal rhythm soon. In the meantime, I wish everyone a peaceful transition into the new world that is coming into manifestation as we speak.

Jul 6, 2023    Hundredth Post is Coming

This is the 99th post so we are heading for a milestone. The 100th post will be for paid subscribers only, and it will deal with the history of reincarnation in Christianity in particular and Western religions in general.

As a special reward, all founding members will be given a discount coupon for life for retail purchases on Bioethika International, the site with the most complete listing of products.

We will also be launching a monthly Zoom-type seminar for paid subscribers, to start in August. Subscribers can submit questions in advance and Balaji will monitor the sessions so that comments and queries can be addressed.

Your suggestions for future posts are always welcome. This option is available to all subscribers. Spirit willing, I try my best to accommodate every request if it falls within my area expertise.

As with many other Substack writers, the move was motivated by the difficulty reaching my readers due to censorship. If I understand the recent Supreme Court ruling, the government cannot legally interfere with social media platforms content policies, but at this juncture, we have only recovered 4% of the original list, uphill is not quite the right word for this.

For today, what I would like to address is partly a sequel to Sound of Freedom which I have not yet seen, but friends have said the film is extremely well produced.

Before saying what I plan to say, I want to tell a little story. It took place on a trans-Atlantic voyage. I was upset that the rules that applied to me did not apply to my younger sister. I remember a very long corridor with heavy steel walls painted white. I heard a voice saying, “Compassion is more precious than justice.” Eighteen years later, my mother asked me what happened when I was twelve . . . it seems she was clairvoyant and added, “when you were born, there was no green in your aura, but it appeared when you were twelve.” As it turned out, my sister studied law . . . and you pretty much know which direction my life took.

Well-trained astrologers have for countless incarnations been advisors to courts. The purpose is to guide the rulers in such a manner that they fulfill their mandates to bring their realms into alignment with the laws of heaven.

There are massive conflicts that arise when the love of power is stronger than the love of honor. Whether we are looking at this evil or that evil, we are challenged to find the most skillful use of will. Obviously, many have broken the law and caused incredible suffering. They can be pursued, arrested, judged, and sentenced; but we are talking about huge enterprises that are morally bankrupt. This is not merely about trafficking, but there are irregularities in the military-industrial complex, in the finance industry, in the food and pharmaceutical industries, so what is the best solution? If everyone involved is faced with confiscation of ill-begotten gains and incarceration, the tensions will escalate and most likely affect more innocent people. If there are no consequences at all, justice will not be served.

This is where an avenue to redemption must be created. In the last few weeks, I have devoted a lot of time to explaining the original teachings on ho’oponopono and have also compared this Hawaiian method to vipassana meditation and a third possibility that I actually hope is the outcome.

Ho’oponopono
In Hawaii, there is a group process for resolving grievances that is overseen by an elder. It is a one-shot attempt to allow people to explain their issues and to give the offender insight into what is causing disharmony. If the offender tries to justify the behavior on the basis of this or that argument, the persons present can comment and/or give reasons for accepting or rejecting the points of view. Before anyone can leave the room, the problems must be sincerely resolved, after which there are no further consequences. Guilt and the fear of reprisals dissipate and the plaintiffs accept that the offender is sincere and will mend his ways.

From a psychological perspective, what matters is that the offender is repentant so further action is not required. Those who were hurt by the offender accept that further recrimination and consequences are off the table, but forgiveness may or may not be offered. A truce, however, is the sought after outcome.

Vipassana Meditation
This is a technique involving very deep introspection, absolute silence, and total openness to seeing the inner self. It is being used among hard core criminals in India as well as Buddhist monks and lay persons. It is not about others. It is about oneself, one’s own clarity and purity of motivation, and about taking responsibility for actions that have created karma or that might generate further karma if not held in check.

Anger is not a justification for revenge. One must conquer oneself before one unleashes hostility on another. Everyone can benefit by this practice but it requires a significant commitment of time, total sincerity and honesty, and continuous effort until the goal is achieved. If it is reached, not only is the meditator freed but all those involved in the disharmony are benefit by the dissolution of tensions.

If the practitioner of vipassana meditation has committed an offense, the goal is to find the place in oneself that was off-balance. One must see oneself clearly, strive to correct the imbalances, and to forgive oneself for acting out in a manner that harmed others. This therefore involves repentance and realignment of self.

Exile
As hinted, I feel this is a solution, and what I would like is if all the people involved in debasing our civilization were transferred to another planet. I do not believe this is an impossibility, but there is a risk of a fake event . . . which would obviously not serve the purpose.

A variation of this idea would be exile to a penal colony, but we would expect criminals to have contingency plans so it is less secure than help from off planet. So, how possible or likely would a transfer of many thousands of people be? I think it is within the realms of possibility, not because aliens are interfering with life on Earth but because the Earth is important enough that it must be protected from a worst case scenario involving playing the last card to stay so as to stay in power.

I have long expected a significant alien presence and pray it happens sooner rather than later. Once it occurs, everything on Earth will improve very rapidly. The land will heal, our food and water will become healthy, and the Earth itself will be more stable.

Jul 2, 2023    Sound of Freedom

“The Sound of Freedom” is being premiered on the day we celebrate our independence. It is a documentary about child trafficking and millions of people are about to see a lurid underground enterprise that is going to bring tears to many, anger to most, and closure to a few who probably never imagined what happened after their child went missing.

Over the last week, I have spent countless hours cataloguing everything I can remember about Morrnah Simeona, a mentor to whom I will always be eternally grateful. I have written a prayer that is consistent with her style of teaching and want to share it with you. Please feel free to share it with others because the trauma of what is about to go viral is going to require empathy, sympathy, compassion, and inner strength.
